Juncea and Xeroghaphica arrived with very brown and what appears to be water rotted stem bases. I guess, it is possibly cold damage as they were wrapped in a single sheet of tissue paper and shipped to Idaho in the winter, but it looks more like plants that were habitually left soaking in water too long. There is no freeze damage further up the leaf and the package was handed directly to me by the delivery person, so they were not sitting in the cold on my porch. Several leaves/stems fell off immediately on both, I expect the rest will soon follow. It is likely two of the five plants will be trash soon. Although I feel it is more likely water rot, if I order again it will only be in spring or fall. The packaging is insufficient to ship in really hot or cold weather as it doesn't insulate the plants from either.
