This was a replacement of the sensors. The original one we had for 5 years, then it got damaged in a hail storm. The replacement was easy. Just mount it on the pole and turn it on. The weather station started immediately.

I did have to update the firmware on my screen. I also had to update the screen to listen to the new address pf the WS-5000. Once that was done everything came back.

Very easy to install

I recently purchased and installed the WS-4000. It’s a modern design that doesn’t need to be cleaned or serviced. Some of the settings on the info panel are a little clunky, but once setup, it was good to go!

I purchased a second WS-2902D console for the 2nd floor of our house, and it works perfectly. I am very happy.

This was my first foray into the world of weather stations, and I was looking for a model that could provide reliable data on a modest budget. The WS-2000 fulfills that need for me and has exceeded my expectations.

The instruction manual is surprisingly detailed! I appreciated having both the written instructions and online videos from Ambient to guide me in assembling the station. Integrating the station with the add-on pole extender kit was similarly simple.

The console is bright and cheerful to look at. The most important data is big and bold, but you can still glean the more nuanced categories as well. The optional additional sensors also cycle through at a reasonable pace and sync easily with the console. The data link between the weather station and the console has been flawless.

Connecting the weather station to the Ambient Network and WeatherUnderground has been the only challenge, but mostly due to the antiquated "keyboard" setup for the console. Typing in alphanumeric characters and punctuation using a mixture of arrows and buttons is awkward. Fortunately, it only needs to be done as part of the initial setup. Being able to subsequently check the station data remotely through the Ambient Network or WeatherUnderground more than makes up for this.

The weather station sensors are accurate enough for my needs and update frequently. The values usually match nearby weather stations, some of which are fancier models!

All in all, this weather station has exceeded my expectations so far. The ease of installation and ability to integrate additional sensors has been helpful to my needs and provided me with useful data for my project.

The Ambient Lightning detector installed in minutes and seamlessly synced my display. Living in the, "Lightning Capital of the World” there's great piece of mind knowing how close the lightning is striking before I venture out.

I like knowing what th conditions are where I live as the online and weather on TV are often several degrees different then what it is at my house. Also, when it rains, if there are thunder showers the amount of rain can be completely different!
I would have rated the station 5 stars, but the wind readings and direction are not very accurate in my case. Due to our HOA the location I have the station is not optimal for getting the correct wind direction or speed. It is installed between my house and the neighbors. They kind of block the wind from the southeast and northwest making those readings wrong. I couldn't put the station in the backyard as there are just too many trees. The only place that would work well would be in the front yard and the HOA will not allow that.

Couldn’t be happier with my purchase of my ambient weather station. I have real time information that is accurate and available at any time from anywhere great product!

Right on time and flawless service

This is a great hobbyist weather station. I recently installed the WS-5000 as an upgrade to my WS-2000. It was a seamless upgrade, and I even added a water leak detector sensor.

Works great, fast delivery

I left another weather station manufacturer after it wore out and settled on Ambient after doing company research. After speaking with customer service about my needs I settled on the WS2000. It arrived quickly and the set up was much easier than I expected. Most of it was pretty automatic. I did reach out to customer service and spoke with Matt about a couple of general questions. I appreciate he was knowledgeable and very helpful. My experience has been very positive. satisfied with my purchase I have added extra sensors. I look forward to a long relationship with Ambient.

After 4 years my old sensor array started having problems, but considering we live on an island and it gets constant salt air, I think it did well. Put the new array up everything works great!

Oem great product last one lasted 5 years

After a lightning strike killed my sensor array., I replaced it with this. After a little trial and error I changed the sensor id number and it connected with no problem. I added a lighting sensor, it works well, I wish it had a way to indicate what direction the strikes occur.

The 2000 weather station is a very nice investment. It’s color LCD panel has a vibrant and crisp display.
