This is the second Ambient Weather Station I have had. The first one was also excellent. It provided me daily weather data which I log in a book as I have done for over 50 years. The first one was a WS-2902A. This one is WS-2902D. Ambient Weather has made some improvements, especially with connecting the Weather station to Wi-Fi.

I installed soil moisture sensors in both the front and back yards to verify the irrigation system was coming on when it was supposed to and providing the required amount of water. These will be worth their weight in gold to provide early warning of the system not working as intended so I can take care of any issues before plants are impacted.

The station works well. But, I've tried time and time again to connect the station to the internet via WIFI and it stalls everytime. Using a MAC.

I purchased the Ambient Weather Station WS-2902 back in 2020 and it would never connect to PWS or to Weather Underground. It only worked with the local Control/Console Panel and the PWS on my iPhone.
It was suggested by Ambient Weather Tech Support that I purchase the Ambient Weather ObserverIP 2.0 so I did and even with several hours of working with their Tech Support it never connected.
I took a chance and upgraded recently to the Ambient Weather WS-2902C Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts. It only started working while using the Ambient Weather ObserverIP 2.0 and again after several hours with their Tech Support that I was finally able to connect and share data with PWS and Weather Underground.

The instructions say to pull the metal wire tie thru about an inch, then slip it about the rain collector. When I pull it through about an inch, it would not fit around the collector. Good thing that included 3 wires with the kit. Good luck
