I've had my Stout for a month now and I've already done more than 400km slightly hilly commuting. The level of assistance is just right to smooth out the hills and it's a handsome, well-put together bike with good components - the hydraulic brakes are excellent. For the first time ever, a bike ft me perfectly - straight out of the ENORMOUS box! I get two days - 52km - out of a full charge, which is fine for me but it's showing red at the end, so it's a bit less than the promised kilometrage.
The only small downside is that it feels a bit 'crunchy' in high gears, especially when over 25km and the support is turned off.
I would really like to have a flash mode on the rear light - is this possible with a firmware update?

This bike is just awesome, love it! And then there is the motor wich makes it even better! Do not think that this motor is weak, i was really surprised! The frame is absolutly beautifully made, the carbon fork and its design look great. In real this bike looks so much better then in the pictures on the Ampler site.
On the (little) down side you may have to invest in a better saddle, original one looks good but it is one of the cheapest ones you can get, pedals are looking and feeling good but sadly crapy and after 400km of riding broken in my case and the grips are also cheap but i like them.
By my 5 star rating you can see that i really do not care, these are components one might change to their preference anyway.

I am delighted with my Stellar bike which I have been using to ride to work and at weekends for the pst few weeks. It was well packed and extremely easy to carry out the few adjustments needed before riding. The ride is excellent and the power kicks in automatically just when needed. I am also pleased that it looks like a standard rather than an e-bike, thanks to the battery in the bottom tube in preference to an external battery fitted to the rear rack or down tube. My one criticism is that the bike could be improved, in my opinion,if it were fitted with SKF type chromoplastic mudguards in preference to the metal mudguards fitted as standard, which can more easily be dented.
By the way, I would be interested to know if I am likely to encounter any other Ampler bikes in the UK at the present time.

I love my new bike, but smth is still scratching on the front wheel when I ride and the electronics seem to have a life of their own. The lamp goes on at random and the on/off knob kept shining red and only normalized the next day. So I feel a little uncertain about the bike, because I want it to last!

Great bike. Had some issues in the beginning but the guys at the Ampler Showroom fixed everything within 1 day. To me, the Ampler Curt is close to a perfect e-bike.
5 stars if they find a way to make the battery changeable in one of the future versions. Also GPS and a better app would be nice. Don't understand why I have to choose between speed, battery or power within the app. Bad UI and app design.

My curt bike which I was so much looking forward to finally arrived after more than a months wait. What a disappointment to discover that it was DOA. Makes you wonder about their quality control but I’m willing to give them another try to prove me wrong only because the bike itself is really gorgeous and weighs close to nothing.
The support staff, although sometimes slow to respond, has been relatively helpful in trying to resolve my problem, but it is the looong wait to receive the supposedly brand new replacement bike (it’s been almost a month since I reported the problem) that is driving me crazy right.
At this point I just want to enjoy what I paid for and have the opportunity to give them a more worthy review and rating.

I LOVE my new bicycle. I resisted getting an e-bike but finally had to replace my old bicycle and decided to go for a compromise- an e-bike that I can also use as a normal bicycle. It’s a wonderful normal road bike and then having the possibility of adding on an extra boost to get up the hills or get to an appointment early rather than late is just great. We wanted to have an e-bike in the house since we live in a city where the traffic is getting worse and worse and therefore taking our car is become more and more painful; however, we also have appointments that are sometimes far enough away that the idea of going with a normal bicycle is not very attractive- but with the Ampler, this is no longer a problem -in fact it’s a pleasure. I feel euphoric every time I get onto my Ampler bicycle.

A great bike for use in urban tours. It fully meets the expectations. I only have two suggestions for minor design changes: 1. The rear lights cannot be seen when the bike is loaded with gear. Please move it to the back! 2. The main switch can hardly be accessed or controlled when driving. Please relocate to an upper position.
