Very happy with this bike!
I have it four weeks now and use it for going to work. It is 8 km one way. Since getting it, it is running without any issues.
I like the one button simplicity.
I also bought the lock which also works very good.
I'd recommend it to everyone who is thinking about buying one!!

If you're looking for an e-bike that has stealth, amazing good looks, still feels like a bike and not a heavy lump of metal along with great dynamics - then I couldn't recommend anything better at this price point. I received my Curt faster than expected, which was a good surprise! Then, I needed 5 minutes to make it ready to ride. Since then, I ride my Ampler almost everyday on my way to work and back home. I live in a pretty sloppy town. Even if I chose the singlespeed version, I don’t regret my choice since the assistance does the job. Ok, I would climb the whole town but as I live in the South of the Town, it’s fine like this. The bike is absolutely beautiful and light. I fully recommend it!

I love my stylish and speedy Stellar. I was a bit unsure about the ride position when I first set up the bike, as my old bike has a much more upright position and the Stellar's is sportier. But it's actually very comfortable, because your weight is distributed better.
As a rather minimalist lightweight, the Stellar doesn't have any suspension. That's been a bit unusual for me too, but it's really not a problem. I've done plenty of bike rides on rural cycle lanes with it now and it's completely fine for that purpose, too. I was also nervous about the lack of a proper chain guard, but so far my jeans have stayed clean, all good!
The motor is what I expected, it gives you the support you need to effortlessly zoom along without breaking into sweat. It's also super quiet.
I've had no problems with the app, but rarely use it.

I love the bike! No matter the weather, commuting is now the best part of my day..
Two small gripes:
1.) For me personally it's not a big issue but it feels like the range of the battery is less than promised.
2.) It would be nice if an update to the software could tweak the assisting logic a little bit.. Sometimes it seems like the motor can't decide whether it should assist or not and ends up momentarily slowing down the speed. And when trying to go slow it sometimes assists even after you stopped pedaling so that I have to use the brakes.

As good as expected! Love the design and everything has worked well the first few months. The biggest complaint I have is that the charger is not weather proof, that can be a challenge for everyone not able to charge indoors.

Zusammenfassend: Ich liebe es.
Ich habe eine früheres Amplerbike eines Freundes probefahren und war begeistert. So habe ich mich umgeschaut und wollte auch eins. Habe es nicht bereut!
Super durchdachte Verpackung aus Karton. Einfacher Aufbau. Einfache Bedienung. Fahr jeden Tag und freue mich, dass ich nicht mehr angeschwitzt den Berg zur Arbeit hochkraxrln muss. Ich brauch nur noch zügig treten. Das perfekte Pendlerfahrrad finde ich.
Einziger Nachteil ist der fest verbaute Akku: man muss immer das ganze Rad zur Steckdose bringen. Kann aber in der Stadt auch ein Vorteil sein, der Akku kann nicht ohne weiteres geklaut werden und das Rad sieht nicht wie ein E-Bike aus.
Langzeitstabilität kann ich noch nicht einschätzen. Aber das Rad meines Kumpels ist immer noch schick.
Hoffe das es immer mehr nutzen und sich eine Werkstatt in der Nähe darauf spezialisiert. Nur so als Beruhigung...

Best bike ever. Arrived neatly in time, assembly took only a few minutes. Every part is of high quality, sturdy and stylish. At first I had my doubts about the fixed gear I chose, since I’m 60 years old, I have artritis and I have to negotiate an undulating terrain (slopes are never too long or too steep however); I get more than enough support to tackle the slopes easily. And when the battery goes flat, you have a very smoothly running ‘ordinary’ bike. I am a GP and do my housecalls on bike since I got my Curt (weather permitting). Highly recommended purchase!
PS: the piece of chocolate and the wooden box with allen keys are a nice finishing touch.

Love the stylish look and how it doesn't look electric. Great to ride and quite light. Only problem I have is that it takes a long time to connect to the app, so I can't change the mode until it connects. If I want to change the mode mid-ride I need to stop and get my phone out.

I've been using it for about a month now. And overall, I'm very happy. It is a stylish yet modest bike. I have not learned yet how to use the App (Just turn it on / off right now). To point out a couple of weaknesses; my bike often turns on itself. Switching between different modes with the button is a bit confusing. When the battery runs out it is relatively difficult to move on.

Your bike turns on by itself because your phone’s Bluetooth automatically connects with your bike. You can disable the auto-connect feature from the Ampler app by going to Settings > 'Autoconnect'.
To switch between the assist modes on the bike, hold the Power button down for 3-4 seconds. After releasing the button, it will blink once if it changes to assist mode 1, or twice if it changes to assist mode 2.

I am very disappointed that I cannot increase the support speed above 25 km/h. This feature twas promoted during a bike show in 2018 and my main reason for buying an Ampler bike.

Hi Wegner! We are terribly sorry to hear about your disappointment. The private road mode (35 km/h) was indeed available for 2018 bikes, but not for 2019 models. Setting the bike to go beyond 25 km/h on public roads makes the bikes non-compliant with regulation and can thus void insurance not only with regard to damages to your own bike, but also damages to others’ property and welfare. Having learned that, we worked towards a solution where the new bikes’ firmware makes the assist curve sharper, improving acceleration and hill-climbing ability and essentially making the bikes feel more powerful. The change also allows us to offer our bikes on job leasing platforms, such as JobRad, which was previously not possible due to the availability of the private road mode.
