The Ampler Curt is really a pleasure to ride. The battery's range allowed me to cover nearly 120 km. It's light enough to ride it even without the support of the electric motor.
I just changed the saddle, the pedals, added a bell and since then, it's been a real pleasure to use this bike every day to go to work.
Many people are surprised when I tell them that it's an electric bike. There were also some envious looks from other people...Yes, i'm a happy Curt user.

I love my Curt. I have ridden to work and back over the last 3 weeks. It has been a joy, especially at the end of the day.
I am a saddle bag user so am thinking about how to adapt the built in lighting in the seat stem
to allow for that.
Any ideas?
No maintenance issues yet,
There is an ccasional creak from the crank.

I enjoy riding the bike a lot. It is light, it is agile. The varnish is prone to scratches and is a real dust magnet. What I like most is the subtlety of the e-motor part (batteries, motor) of the bike. Unless the light ring is activated, it is very hard to spot that you continuously follow the wind.

I have been truly enjoying my Curt over the past 4 weeks since i received it. The memory of that first test ride, with the electric support kicking in, is something that i will remember. Driving around the city at speeds up to 25 km/ph feels perfectly natural. I had (still have) a conventional bike with 21 gears, otherwise very similar to the Curt, as far as sitting position is concerned. I therefor had no issues whatsoever with the ride position and the 'sturdy' characteristics of the bike. I love it. I also love the carbon drive and the electric propulsion makes me wonder why anyone on a flat surface (such as the Netherlands) would bother to choose the 10 gear version. I in fact asked Ampler for their plans to also build the Stellar model with carbon drive, as my wife wants to buy an e-bike too (but won't opt for the Curt's position). I was however informed that no such plans currently exist. If there were, i would definately buy one. The Curt meets all promisses and expextations. Great job Guys!

App is pretty bad thought and was buggy upon reception of the bike. It wouldn't allow me to pair with the bike. It took a week for resolution.
Also, even thought I was very happy with the Deore components at the beginning (they felt "high quality"), the brakes really lack power. The pads glazed several times already after 200km only. I am new to disk brakes and oil systems, so I don't have much point of reference, but my rim brakes are way more efficient. I'm considering changing the pads, and even the entire brake system if it continues to be problematic. I would have preferred an upgrade in the shimano range right from the start, even if this would have been slightly more expensive.
Despite all, I really love my bike and use it every day

I cannot comment on the bike itself since I have never received it. After 2 weeks delay on shipping (receipt stated 07.06 and actual shipping occurred on 18.06 with delivery appointment on 21.06). Customer service from Berlin store was not helpful at all with giving blunt excuses. At Hamburg VELO fair it was stated that Ampler faces a supply chain issue concerning the bike’s fork.
Shipping partner selected by Ampler is completely irresponsible. Ampler itself is not reachable per phone (only email) which leads to delay response. To sum up, Ampler big advertising is that they cut the middle man so they can maintain a “low price” (3000€ is not cheap at least according to my Standards). In the end, all the problems I got could be precisely solved by a middle man.
After losing one day of work sitting at home with no bike at hand, I got myself a Coboc Seven Montreal and I could not be happier with my decision.
Long story short, bike seems to be good. I have my doubts concerning further services and overall company trustworthiness.

Your bike delivery was initially delayed and your bike was about to be delivered some hours later than the promised original delivery window, which is unfortunate, but sometimes happens due to delivery companies’ delivery schedules.
With regard to our customer support, then we’re sorry to hear that our standards did not meet your expectation. Our average response time for all customer emails is 24 hours and we managed to keep to that time in our conversations with you, as well. Additionally, our customer support team is reachable via phone and all unanswered calls are always returned. The Berlin showroom team is not our first point of contact for delivery related matters, which is why they were unfortunately not able to tell you immediately all the details about your bike delivery.

I like the bike very much. Light bike with excellent steering capabilities, although I’m still looking for the best body geometry (playing with the different possibilities). One comment: it’s very unfortunate that the USA Mode (32 km/h) is no longer available. Would love to hear how to override this 😁.

Th e Ampler Curt quality is realy good overall.
It's realy nice to ride into a urban environnement.
Until 2018 it's was possible to set the top speed up to 35 km/h via the App ; it's fast but it's what the bike has been design for !
But since 2019 top speed is limited to 25 km/h. It's ok in the traffic and whith pedestrians nearby but in flat cycling lanes it's a bit slow. That cost a star in my review.
Let's hope Ampler makes it better in the next firmware update...
