I have the Ampler Stout (2018 model - outlet) now for about 2 months, and I am very happy that I bought it. I had high expectations on forehand based on reviews, reactions from customers and the Ampler website, fortunately Ampler was able to meet them all. I use the Ampler Stout to go to work (~10 kms) every day, this bike is ideal for that.

Since you bag for a review - here you go.. The first impression was a WOW - such a beauty! After 3min the bike was ready to drive. However, the fender was probably a bit stressed during the shipping and get twisted (how to fix?). After my first longer trip I have realized that the bike is pretty stiff which causes pain in my shoulder muscles the day after - I will anyway use it for short tracks. But my biggest pain is the front light! It is hanging down sidewards. Somehow it is impossible to fasten the screw - any ideas? Still in love with my curt

The bike looks great. It's light and smart. You can feel it is built by cycle fanatics. The brakes are strong. No wires visible. Good quality parts. Good app also. In your phone you can choose any parameter you think is relevant. The motor senses your effort nicely and works with you good. It feels solid. No strange notices when at speed. It's quiet.
I hope the brand becomes well known. Very good quality for the money.

Great bike. Not sure about the app though - would be better if there was a small detachable display on the handlebars which would immobilise the motor when removed

First impression is fabulous! It looks so good and is comfortable to ride around our hilly city. I think I may be the first person in Edinburgh to have an Ampler Stellar e-bike. Now I’ll show it off to everyone.

Recently bought a Curt, and is using it for daily commuting in Oslo 9 km to and from work. Works very well for my needs, and I also do travel above speeds where the motor doesn't help, and then it's resistance free, but still you get the push from standstill and up to the legal limit which is very nice. According to my GPS, I average around 25 km/h on the trip, including several low-speed sections. On the negative side: The transporter Ampler used charged my a ridiculous fee to handle VAT in Norway, and I had to tighten the rotor on the front brake.

I love my Stellar, it is just graz!

Great bike... buy 10 speed because my town elevations but my heart was with the single speed.

great bike and lots of fun. assembly was quick and easy. a bit sad: the cover of the lock was very brittle on arrival. it broke on the first use.

First ride was great, looking forward to better weather to use it again.

Quite happy with the bike in general but one can always find some minor issues. I hope you take it as constructive criticism and improve in future models :)
- always on bluetooth is draining battery. i do not understand why it should be kept always on. it could shutdown on timer or only be enabled when bike is turned on by switch. the accompanied app i tried one time and probably wont need every again.
- kickstand blocks pedals. it could be mounted further back to avoid the issue.
- rear lights under saddle should be higher. when lowering the saddle to lowest position, the lights can become partially obstructed.
- placing anything on the carrier will block the rear lights. it would be nice to have power lines under the rear wheel mudguard so an extra rear light could be mounted on mudguard and fed off the main battery.
- front wheel is not easily removable. a lever fastener would be nice for transporting the bike in car.
- totally subjective but in my opinion the carrier should be wider and have a clamp (so luggage wont tip over so easily). I plan to mount a basket so that will probably solve the issue though.
- my last bike was with shock absorbers in front and under saddle. its a bit hard to get used to life without such comforts.
- replacement battery only available from Ampler. this could become an issue in time. my last bike i kept for 20 years. will Ampler still be around after another 20? Will the electronics in the bike last that long? I certainly hope so but not so sure about that.
To end in more positive tone, here are a few things i like about the bike:
- it looks beautiful and i love the minimalist design.
- breaks are very good.
- light for an e-bike.
- having CFS, this bike restores the lost opportunities (biking related anyway).
- it is truly awesome (and funny) to near effortlessly glide uphill and past the local bike club kids.

I love my new ampler bike but I have had to tweak it.
I brought the female frame (stellar) but it came with a male saddle which made the ride uncomfortable but now the saddle is exchanged for one with a female friendly shape it rides beautifully and I have been inventing excuses to go out on it.
I bought a small LED rear light to attach to the rear of the pannier frame because anything placed on top of the frame obscures the in-built lights in the seat post.
I’ve invested in side pannier baskets, when these are laden I make good use of the second assist mode.
The lock is great and is on the approved list of my bike insurance company. It seemed temperamental at first until I figured out that I need to unfold it before it will open and that it needs to be unfolded before it will close.

The best bike I've ever owned. Makes commuting a joy.

Great bike. It's fast and easy to use. With the app you have full control. The battery seems to have big capacity. The weight is also okay, but if you really care about that you should go with the Curt. Most people are unable to identify the bike as a pedelec which is really nice.

The only negative thing I have is that they mixed up my addresses and sent it to the billing address instead of the shipping address. So I had to reschedule the delivery and got the bike later.
