The Original PerchPopper - Auto nest box opener-Ready to ship
LOVE the nest boxes and I am smitten with the perch popper! The assembly and set-up instructions were very simple. I did the entire thing myself and did not have to enlist the hubby to help. ;) It is a big expense, but now we no longer worry about them roosting in nest boxes or having dirty and broken eggs. The hens accepted the boxes right away. Great product!

Works just like they say it does. Give the birds some time to get used to it, but it is really nice after they figure it out.

We have had two of these now for about a week and most of the chickens have started using them. I love the construction and attention to details and angles to make them work so well. The instructions were good but the first one assembling was slow but the second one went super fast. So really wish we had started out with these! Thanks so much for a quality product!

Birds immediately switched over and love it. Easy to build and set up. Wish it was a little easier to level.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.
Could you elaborate on your difficultly in leveling? For a stationary setup, when mounting on a vertical surface (like a wall), usually you can level it fairly easily with a spirt level.
For a mobile setup, there are ways to manage leveling after a move, please contact us if this is your situation.

So far with trying all the tricks on your site, maybe 20% of my chickens are using the nest box. š¤·āāļø

Occasionally, someone has an issue with getting their hens to use the nest box initially. This is just the nature of hens and EVERY nest box on the market will also have this issue with some setups or flocks. However, this problem has ALWAYS been fixable in our experience- just reach out to us for help. We provide help specific to your situation by phone for Best Nest Box customers.

Installation and timer set up went well*; timer and popper performing as they should.
*mechanic husband who never reads Instructions watched the video and no compents or tools were broken, thrown, or punted in the 20-30 minutes it took to install.

CoopWorx Chicken Feeder (80lb capacity)
We love itā¦and so do our roosters and hens:)!
I like the fact that it sits off of the ground, and the chicken feed flows down into each feed spot very nicely. No need to get in there with your hand and pull feed down.
Very nice design:)!
Thank you,
Angie

The box is very nice and easy to assembleā¦ I bought the suggested popper as well, it may be that Iām denseā¦ or that Iāve worn a helmet to work my entire lifeā¦ but I didnāt understand that the automated popper only lowers the bar, it does not raise it. This isnāt a big deal, but I donāt think I would have sprung for it had I known that.
Box is as light as it can be given materials, chickens took to it first day, and eggs are clean as promisedā¦ box is really good (cost is steep to match). Popperā¦ meh.

Thank you for the feedback. The PerchPopper only opens the nest box, which is really what most people need since they can close it manually when they collect eggs and keep the hens from sleeping in the nest box overnight and dirtying it. The PerchPopper will then open the nest box before the hens need access in the morning. The PerchPopper is an agricultural-grade device and is meant to last reliably for a long time.
We've investigated a device to close the nest box, but determined it would be complex and costly and would just not benefit most people's situations.

The nest boxes were simple to assemble and instructions were simple to follow. We are waiting for our chickens to arrive,so can't review their performance yet. I am happy you included extra nuts and bolts , this made assembly easier.

First, the quality of materials was a very pleasant surprise. Weāve been let down in the past in ordering products that appeared great online and were cheaply made upon arrival. Not the case here! The components are substantial and feel as though they are made to last! Second, the instructions for assembly were fantastic! Any question we might have had was answered either with hints/tips or in photos. The assembly took two people maybe 30 mins, taking our time to get it right. Weāre super impressed!! 10/10 recommend!
