It took some convincing to get our Young hens to use it but now they are using it, its awesome. Customer Service is very good and quick to respond and willing to help in anyway to teach how to train the hens.

Chickens like them but they also like laying in the grass—lol. We’ve used your nests before which is why we chose them again.

I would probably like it a whole lot better if my chickens would actually use it. I wish I could convince them that this expensive lay box is so much nicer than the ground. What do you do, they are chickens? It was easy to put together and made well.

The best nest box we bought is lovely. It was not very hard to put together. My 'Lady's' were not impressed. I had to lock them out of their old nest boxes and we had to put some hay inside the best box. Also I had to use clothes pins to hold up the red flaps. I put the best box on the ground to encourage the girls to go in and slowly they are getting use to it. I still have 2 or 3 hens that are laying on the ground. We are still keeping the girls locked out of the old nest box. And I just put it up on one row of cinder block.

Very nice nesting box. My rhoad island reds live it. Leaves eggs clean and untouched.

This nest box may be the best purchase I've made for our farm all year. Our forty laying hens took to it right away. We have no broken or soiled eggs to deal with now. I was skeptical that one box would work for forty hens, but it does. Great investment!

New young hens are just starting to lay and though some follow the old hens into the old boxes, some are laying in this best nest box. It is sure nice how easy it is to gather eggs from them.

Nice concept but way over priced and our chickens hardly lay their eggs in it. Only around it.

10 minutes reading then re-readding instructions w/ a mental "put together". 15 minutes actual time spent for assembly. Easy, works great. Day 2- most of the hens using it. Still have 2 stubborn clucks. Thanks. Jim

The construction if very good, instructions are good too I expect it to last a long time. I have had mixed success with this box, the eggs will some times not roll away even though the box was level on every angle so I put a deeper incline on the nest but when You do this they will roll away so fast that they may crack at the bottom so I had to add padding to the very end of the nest where the eggs land. All in all a good product but I had some issues with it so far.

The Best Nest Box works best when it is level in both directions. (Level and plum) If you desire to shim the nest to increase the amount of roll start to shim the nest in small increments. Eggs will crack if the slope is too steep.
