Large Reversible Rollaway Nest Box
It was HARD to get the chickens to use the new nest box. At first they had a choice of the new one or the old nesters. Only 2 out of 35 chose the new one. We had a problem with egg eaters in our flock. the roll away would solve the problem, if the chickens would use it. So we bought a second roll away and took out all the old nesters. Now they were laying in the straw underneath the nesters. So we dropped a nester down so that they couldn't. (One still crawled underneath to lay her egg until the bedding got too deep). So they had a favorite corner to lay in. And a broody chicken to guard the eggs. But more hens were laying in the top rollaway!! So i put a bunch of straw in the lower rollaway (that blocks the rollaway action, but encourages laying in that location). I kept adding straw for about 2 weeks. Then we culled a few of the oldest (and bossiest) hens. After 2 months of checking for eggs every 2 hours, we finally had most of the chickens laying in the rollaway. Victory!

Eggselent! - These nest boxes make egg collection a pleasure. The eggs are clean and unbroken. No need to fight with broody hens. Wife can box eggs and take to our customers in a jiffy.

our chickens aren’t quite old enough to lay yet but putting it together and setting it up was very easy and feels like a nice sturdy nest. We have a low, small coop so we just cut a hole through the wall and placed ours on the floor.

We love not having to wash our eggs and with our homemade boxes, we were still having to wash a bunch. With the best nest box, we may wash only 1-2 per day, it's amazing! So easy to clean too! Also, we had some issues with hens eating their own eggs and these boxes fixed it for sure!

Easy to put together, and the Hens had no problem using it. We piloted 2 boxes with you guys and we are sold. We will be looking to purchase 6 more for our farm Rocky Mountain Pastures.

Love that my eggs are protected and so clean when I go to gather eggs. Nice that I am not sticking my hand into the unknown straw nest searching for eggs and get poo instead. Lol. Box went together quick and easy and my pullets, who are just now starting to lay, began using immediately. Will be replacing all my nests with this box.

We absolutely love the Best Nest Box! Before them we would have broken and dirty eggs. We also had a few chickens that would eat the eggs. Now we don’t have that problem!!

Well built! Bought these because chickens would poop and sleep in hay filled nesting boxes . Now eggs come out clean and not broken.

I needed a better way to keep my eggs clean as I was spending to much time cleaning them. I swapped out my homemade nest box for the Best Nest Box in my mobile chicken tractor. It was a tight fit but I got it installed and the eggs are much cleaner. Very happy. I will be buying a second Best Nest Box for their winter coop.

Sturdy construction with easy assembly. The chickens were suspicious of it and wouldn’t use it the first couple of days despite us removing all old boxes and throwing some bedding in there. So I took a ceramic egg, epoxied a twist tie to it and tied it through the matting to encourage them regarding its purpose (and so the egg-ample wouldn’t roll away) - as soon as they saw it in there they all wanted to go lay in there. Been enjoying fresh clean eggs ever since. :) no more egg eating!

One corner was a little banged up upon delivery. We were ave to hammer it back in place. Went together very quickly and love the concept. Only been using them for a week or so and the birds are a bit slow to transitioning, so I added a bit of hay to get them started. Of course this prevents the rollout from working, but we will slowly decrease the hay until we can eliminate it completely.
