Box was easy enough to assemble but some of the pieces arrived bent. Was able to bend them back, but was a little disappointed considering the packaging did not appear damaged.

Sorry to hear your nesting box was damaged. Unfortunately, this happens during shipping. Sometimes the packaging will show no damage on the outside. This is due to the fact that the boxes are heavy and the weight of the box itself in combination with the fall or blow causes it to damage.

I called your representative
She gave me a few options because my hens didn’t want to use this box
I took the end out of their current nesting box and mounted it against this nesting box
It took a couple of days for them to venture inside out of curiosity
I also close their other nesting option
Only one egg on the first day
Two the next then all 5 shortly thereafter
So…It worked and now is a success.

Love this so far, however my chickens have not started laying eggs yet and I will not let them in the box due to roosting at night inside the box. the roost bar timer is an awesome feature which I have installed and it works great. The unit is well made and will last for years.

ChickenGuard Extreme Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener & Self Locking Door Kit with 3 Year Warranty
This unit is made in Europe and I am in America unable to contact technical support via phone support. My issue is the batteries, I bought this on April 25, 2023 and the unit keeps telling me that my batteries only have 3-9 % remains life. I have installed 2 brand new sets of 4 AA batteries including the set of batteries that comes with the unit. This is a very expensive mistake to buy for those who are in the US. Beware.

I am sorry you are having an issue with your ChickenGuard unit. ChickenGuard has an excellent customer service and support team. They will be able to troubleshoot the issue. ChickenGuard will direct you as to what needs to be done. They are ready to assist you until your unit is working properly. support@chickenguard.com 855-383-0430 Call them in the morning because you are in the Pacific time zone. ChickenGuard customer service is 8 hours ahead of you. They are located in England.

We just assembled and installed our large nest box. We were impressed with the quality of manufacturing and shipping, no defects or problems at all with the nest box or issues with install. Right away, happy with our purchase. Pullets not laying yet, to comment on rollaway egg function, but betting on it working just fine. Will be easy to adjust if needed.

We got this nest box because our chickens were laying and eating the eggs. We have about 50 hens and were getting 2 to 3 eggs a day. We've been using it for a week and we collect at least 16 eggs a day. Plus They're all clean!!!

This is a tough review because nest box would get four stars and that is only because there’s a piece of angle that runs in the egg channel that the eggs get caught on so my hens can still eat them when that happens, I can just reach in and bend it upwards to open the channel up so not the end of the world, our problem is with the Perch Popper it’s been in a month and worked great for 2 weeks and now has a mind of its own and works approximately 3 to 4 days a week so when it doesn’t work, we’re picking our eggs off the floor or the hens are eating them. I have not reached out to let them know our experience, but thought it was right to let customers know what problems they could face, it’s a pretty expensive item to be having problems this soon. So the Popper would get 2 Stars . We are thinking about getting the automatic door opener but we’re not sure after this problem with the electronics.

Part B is not installed correctly on the nesting box. If the Popper is not working everyday consistently, that means that the hinge bolts need to be loosened or there is another mechanical issue. Feel free to reach out so we can help you resolve these issues you are having.

The product itself is extremely well made. However my hens refuse to use it. Have even tried putting a bit of chopped straw in it to make it feel a little more familiar. Not interested at all.

Our web site indicates in several places that the PerchPopper and it's related parts (mounting bracket, spring assemblies, etc) are designed to work specifically with the Best Nest Box. We do have customers that have installed the PerchPopper with other brands of nest boxes or "homemade" nest boxes successfully. Obviously this is not a configuration that we can guarantee or support.
The PerchPopper will always hold the hour release programming. There is an issue with the way you have set up your mechanics.
