Colt tactical front sling, side swivel mount
Ordered March 26 had a major shipping delay (not Charlie's fault obviously.) Asked a question about it that they didn't respond to. Item just got here today April 12 packaging in perfect condition however the item ordered was really beat up. Item was listed as a new takeoff but looks pretty used. The part was marked up to a crazy amount which i knew before hand so thats on me but i was expecting a much less beat up item. They processed and shipped my order quickly. Probably wouldn't order from them again.
Update:
Didn't expect Charlie's response to sound like an offended women. The part came in a mini clear ziplock, i have never gotten anything from Colt in a clear ziploc. The sling swivel looks like your cats chewed on it.

Not sure why the product would be beat up. Share a pic for the readers. We check every part we ship. Some are in Colt packaging, some in blue VCI military plastic. It is a battle part, so this is phosphated steel, not a fine instrument. I talked with our warehouse lead, and he agreed that you should not have received a part in a ziplock bag. I have not seen that go out before. Please feel fee to contact support for a return.

The grip is thick plastic with a relatively clean seam. However, the color is definitely not consistent with usual FDE and not the same as KACs FDE. It’s far lighter in color more like a sand color. It’s nice and cheap though so if you wanna paint or cerakote it to match, it’s perfect

Centurion Shipping Protection
The barrel itself is fine. My issue is that Charies website automatically adds "package protection" and the most expensive shipping option. I added this to my cart, and deleted those items but I didn't check out. I closed the browser and came back later. I unfortunately didn't check, and the package protection and expensive shipping wound up on my order. I reached out and asked them to correct this, and the said they would have to cancel the order. I said please cancel then, and was then told it was too late. Because they shipped this requiring a signature, and I am a busy person and not home much, I had to go to multiple UPS locations to track down my package, this wasting precious time. I automatically adding shipping protection is unfair business practices under the FTC act. The shipping protection in and of itself is a scam, as UPS, and USPS have insurance already, and tricking people into buying it by automatically selecting it and making it hard to notice is deceptive.

Sorry to hear of your experience. We use a third party shipping application that shops for various shipping methods. It is true, we cannot change and order, but if you catch a problem, we can usually grab the order before it is too far along and cancel it, and you can start over.
As to shipping protection, UPS and USPS do not insure the shipping, and shipping protection is optional, but most people really appreciate it, as it steps in if you have a loss and let's say USPS says they delievered, and you don't have it. Shipping protection is like concierege service, and is relatively inexpensive, but you can opt out.
