This is my first corset and it seem to work right and definitely cinched me in. I think if you're waist training you might need to go a size or two down from the suggested because mine was able to close all the way, so if I wanted to make my waist smaller I would need a smaller size. I have a 36 inch waist and I got a size 32. When I measured my waist it was a 34, not sure if that was because of material or something. Overall, I liked it.

I love this so dang much. I thought with it being one of the more theatrical designs, it wouldn't be as high quality- I was WRONG. I can still get a good shaping from it, its thick and hearty and I can't wait to wear it under a blazer or leather jacket. The hooks in front are sturdy and easy to use, and the silk lacing is actually easy to tighten by myself. This is my favorite corset of the 3 corset story corsets I have. It doesn't do a whole lot for my bust, but that's more likely due to me not really filling it or not tightening the top laces right. It's still secure and looks great, just don't expect it to act like a push up bra.

(You need to specify the rating above. Is one star the best or the worst?) I'm assuming more stars are better... I have been purchasing corsets from Corset Story for about 15 years now. This was the first time the site looked like it was geared for an American audience - caused me quite a bit of concern over the sizing. Perhaps you could list both American and UK sizes, so we can get the equivalents? That said, the latest corsets fit beautifully. I don't like having ribbon instead of cording for the laces. My husband says the ribbon is much harder to draw in.

Size fits wonderful, just wished it can go a bit tighter around the bust. Having tightened it to its absolute furthest it can go it didnt support the bust. but that was due to sizing issues on my part. I feared it wouldnt have a long enough privacy panel but man that was not the case! It's so pretty and I can't wait to test all the corsets Ive purchased in an entire outside renaissance setting, as well as dates.
