Mono Wavy Top w/ Roots
I really like the option of a topper! I do wish it came in more colors and would prefer unrooted but it is a blessing to have. I could not find a wavy topper to come close to matching my wavy and frizzy hair! Plus It's more comfortable than a wig. I do wish the top base was a bit larger especially towards the back. I prefer my frizzy hair not to poke out. Not perfect but closest I could find & very natural looking. I don't think anyone suspects. I did have to cut it as it was way too long. My Bio hair is 10-11". It was expensive but most others are beyond reach in cost so I really appreciate that as I am on SS. The hair feels like real hair too! Very soft. I hope it will last!

As with all wigs I have purchased from GSWs, Valerie was a quality girl, as expected. She did, however, need some modifying as she was a lot more hair than I was used to. I made the mistake of trying to modify her myself… the result was less than stellar- no one to blame but myself. She’s fine for wearing at home tho and so she is not a total loss. I totally recommend her … but if you lack styling skills like me, I encourage you to seek a professional if modifications are needed.

I usually wear chin length bobs so wanted a different style in a little longer length. I had overlooked Shantel but after seeing several customer reviews and photos, decided to try it, especially since it's available in frosted taupe. I like that Shantel has very little permatease, very nice fibers, and nice movement. My beautician trimmed a little length off the back and trimmed bangs. One thing I would prefer is that the entire wig would be the same color without the lighter hair around the face, which for me is too light plus I just really like the frosted taupe. Unlike my bobs, I have to work with the front a little to style it as I like and to hide the front wig line since it is not a lace front wig. Overall, I do like Shantel and have worn it several times.

I received the Monroe wig, in Silver Stone. I put it on (wasn't sure what to do with all of that hair) and almost sent it back, even ordered the return mailing label. So, this morning, I put my makeup on and decided to give Monroe one more chance. Geez, I'm glad I did! I played around with it to get it to calm down a bit, back combed the long bangs so they would stay in place and copped an attitude in front of the mirror. She is a keeper. Now I have to decide whether or not to cut bangs, which I always do on all of my wigs. Oh, my natural hair color is identical to Silver Stone, so I was able to pull a few of my natural hairs down to blend with the top of the Monroe bangs and now my hairline looks more natural. Maybe in the future, Monroe would work great with a lace front?
