I made a potato leek and Sweet Italian turkey sausage soup using the meat we received from Heartstone. I made the soup for a friend who was recovering from surgery and she immediately messaged me saying it was the best soup ever & raving about my cooking. While I may know a thing or two in the kitchen, it was the Sweet Italian turkey sausage that really stole the show and made the soup taste amazing. I also loved providing something that I knew was fresh and local!

These drumsticks tick all the boxes. They are economical, easy to season, cook quickly in an air fryer and, most importantly, they come out crisp, juicy and quite delicious. They do well with a little olive oil, garlic salt and pepper, a barbecue rub with a mustard binder, or a tangy chili lime rub. We like to do a rotation, but the meat is always the main attraction.
