Spatchcock Chicken
I have purchased and cooked several Spatchcock chickens from Heartstone Farm. In fact I’m grilling one today! It’s marinating in some Mojo sauce, and will cook on indirect heat on the grill for about 40 minutes, then will get a quick char on direct flame to crisp the skin a bit. This is now my preferred way to cook a whole chicken. It cuts down on time and cooks more evenly. And this chicken is juicy and tender, with perfect flavor! We absolutely love meats froM Farmer Dan, and purchased our first beef share recently!!!!! No more grocery store meat for us!

The turkey we got for Thanksgiving was delicious! We were so happy to be able to get one that was local, organic and free range. Heartstone Farm included beautiful packaging, Maine sea salt and directions for roasting — which was all really appreciated!

Organic Pasture-Raised Turkey From Maine
I have had fresh turkeys from other turkey farms but nothing compared to the taste and quality of the tide mill farm turkey. In fact I had planned to take some pictures when I brought it in from the grill (yes I cook mine on a Traeger) but before I could get my phone the kids started picking at it. Neither one of the kids has eaten turkey in the past, but they both devoured two helpings of it this year. I am so glad I bought a few extra to freeze as the kids are already asking when we will have more. Thank you Heartstone and Tide Mill farm for providing such amazing turkeys!!

Our turkey was outstanding! We always get organic turkeys, but this was the first one we ever bought from Farmer Dan, and it was truly the most delicious turkey we have ever had. Every bit was tender, juicy, and delectable--and we are continuing to enjoy the ample leftovers 3 days later. Thank you, Farmer Dan!
