We love chicken thighs and it is very difficult to find good sized chicken thighs with bone and skin. This is our preferred way of purchasing chicken thighs because I cannot find such high-quality ones anywhere else here in Maine

Flat Iron Steak (10 oz)
The Flat Iron steak was spectacular!
We braised it in a cast iron pan, then transferred it to well cooked Vidalia onions, shiitake mushrooms, garlic, celery and sea salt. A few minutes on each side, transferred to a board to rest and thinly sliced. We served it with roasted yams and cauliflower rice. Absolutely delicious.

So far I've only had a T-bone and some ground beef, but both were excellent. Delivered on time, frozen solid, well wrapped and labelled. Quite a bit more expensive than other cow shares I've bought in the past, but I ran out of beef at the wrong point in the season and found myself scrambling for a share. Farmer Dan came through,and it is important to me to stay away from megafarmed, hormoned to the gills, animals.

My spouse and I purchased “The Maine Box” from Heartstone Farm that included 36 lbs of assorted beef. The meat is vacuum packed, easy to store in freezer and is exceptional. What was even more noteworthy is that when we arrived at the Heartstone store near Dover-Foxcroft, ME, the store was closed for business and door locked. Dan was working in the office and happened to notice us there. He came out, invited us in and allowed us to place our order which was ready to pick-up the following day. Dan was extremely friendly, informative and helpful. Total customer focus.
