100% Grass Fed Filet Mignon
So I am relatively new to Heartstone Farm. To date I have tried the rib eye steaks which are flavorful and tender and so far my favorite. Now, having tried the filet mignon, my favorite steak has competition. The filet was tremendous, nice and thick and the most tender steak I have tried from Heartstone or any other purveyor. Great flavor, a real treat.

After receiving my last order from Farmer Dan, I made our favorite beef stew with Dan’s stew beef. The stew was so delicious we couldn’t stop eating it! I’ve made this stew many times before, but the grass fed stew meat made the favor so much better. We definitely will order more in the future.

The stew beef was fork tender, just the right size, and plain ole delicious. I personally had a great recipe...salt, pepper and eat!!! LOL I used a pressure cooker for 10 minutes...uh, simply the best.

So, a while ago I happened to come across a recipe in food network by Ina Garten (barefoot contessa), for beef short ribs. With the weather changing I though “just what I need, comfort food. I ordered six ribs from Heartstone Farm in addition to my regular order for ribeye steaks. I have previously purchased short ribs from my local supermarket so I assumed I would need 6. The short ribs Dan sent were substantially larger and beefier than any I had previously enjoyed so 4 ribs did the job. Wow, what a treat. The flavor was outstanding, I will order again to be ready for cold nights.

I received my order of 10 lbs Grass Fed Liver in such a timely manner and it was packaged very well. I'm not a fan of liver, but I know it's nutritional and I required to add it to my Keto diet. I'm still getting use to eating liver but this liver was not hard to consume. It was fresh and clean and I felt better eating it than liver I would buy from the local grocery or food market. Heartstone Farm has helped me take on the challenge of making liver part of my every day diet and now I feel I am acquiring a healthy taste for it. Thank You Heartstone Farm. I was so happy to find someone who sells cow tongue. It is delicious!!! We boiled it for 4 hours, let cool off, pull skin off, cut up and added to bowl of vinegar and onions. My husband loves it!!
