The Butler Creek Folding Stock stainless butt stock matches perfectly the Ruger 10/22 stainless metal. When put together, they provide the stainless steel platform that adds value to the assembly. High Caliber worked very hard to find this particular stock for me which is in high demand and not readily available.

The firing pin removed all slam fires and made brass rounds effectively usable.

The Safety spring works great and the new pins are awesome, the old pins on my rifle were a pain to get out but when I finally got them out the new pins were really smooth and a perfect fit, not too snug not too loose

Survival and flare gun all in one

It is a dream come true: a SKS that can change mag. Sure you can do it with Tapco and etc but 10 rds XCR pistol mags? Now that's a dream really come true. The whole package is install and handled by HiCal. I have to say that even buying just the magwell I doubt I have the skill to install it as nicely as HiCal themselves! The gun is very clean when arrived so I don't have to worry about cleaning. I don't own a lot of SKS but this is definitely not the first one I own so I know exactly what to expect. And believe me the result is above my expectation. Currently I am still waiting for some ammo to ship over but when testing with dummy rounds the gun cycles perfectly without any issue even with all fully loaded 10 rds per mag.

1) Magwell installed
2) Feed ramp mod with AR15 like cut.
3) No need for cleaning.
4) Came with one mag that is slight mod to the front of the mag which makes loading the mag in a closed bolt easier.

As mentioned above I found that it will help if the mags are mod slightly with a little lower front cut. This create better clearance with the bolt when trying to load the mag with bolt closed.

In conclusion, the SKS looks great, very clean and cycles without an issue with dummies. I am sure it will fire just fine especially when SKS are pretty easy-going on the firing part ;)
