I last minute decided to go to a large convention and used one of those conglomerate sites that compare prices from a bunch of other sites. I found one site way cheaper than any other comparable places (by about a third of the price) and not far from the convention either. I literally thought "Oh hey, this is probably some sort of scam. I'm probably just paying for a spare small room, or some other kind of ripoff." But I needed a room and booked it. A few days later, I called the hotel and checked: sure enough, I had a king room at far cheaper. Not only that, but I actually downgraded the room to a double because my brother wanted to come with me and it was still far cheaper than anything else. I only ranked it as 4* because the site leaves a bit to be desired compared to other sites as far as information on the hotels and general booking.

I cannot say enough good things about the Fairport in Washington D.C. The hotel is beautiful and the location is fantastic. I didn’t actually stay here because the hotel was overbooked. Although the Fairmont did not have a room for me, they secured a room at another 5 star luxury hotel and paid for my accommodations there. The only issue I had was with HotelPower. The Fairmont refunded the amount I paid to Hotel Power, but it took Hotel Power more than 3 weeks and multiple phone calls to refund my money to me. When I asked to speak to a manager at Hotel Power, I was told they don’t speak to customers. I will not ever book with them again.

We stayed at the Sheraton in Alte Monte Springs in North Orlando. The hotel was well maintained, the staff attentive and cordial, and the room was large, comfortable and in very good shape. We were vey happy with our stay.
