The Grand Tour was absolutely amazing, we visited some beautiful places in Japan. It was very busy and we had some very long days, but felt it was worth it for what we saw. We had a fabulous Tour guide, Miho, who went above and beyond and always willing help and so very friendly, a pure delight. Miho gave us excellent information on history and anything we asked, if she did not know she would find out. Also we had the best Bus driver, Captain Kenta, Mihoko Bus#3357. He was an excellent Bus driver, very polite and welcoming every time we left and entered the bus, the bus was kept very clean, and we always felt very safe. All in all a wonderful tour.

We had a blast! We got to see so much of Tokyo and explore all kinds of amazing areas. Our guide Yuki was knowledgeable and fun. I would definitely use this company again.

This was my first time visiting Japan, and I want to return already. Yuki and Mami were wonderful tour guides. Each had their own guide style appropriate for the locations they took us to. Everywhere that the tour went there were almost always friendly people willing to help us. Also, I would strongly recommend that anyone add a few free days at the beginning of their tour. Arigato gozaimasu! I look forward to visiting again sometime in the future.

A trip to Japan was my dream vacation for years and it was fulfilled thanks to Japan Deluxe Tours! This was an ideal way to experience key highlights of the country for first-time visitors. I hope to return someday to see Himeji, Hiroshima, and much more of this beautiful country!

I would like to commend the services of Yuki from the airline/flight department. Her efforts were invaluable with planning my trip while maintaining continued correspondence shortly before the start of the tour. Thanks so much Yuki!

Special recognition also goes to our tour guide Shige-san and bus driver Kowakami-san. I greatly appreciated Shige-san's professionalism ranging from clear communication (e.g., meeting times and other instructions) and providing insightful trivia about Japan's culture such as history lessons and basic language tips. Overall, he demonstrated a decorum that further solidified my respect for the Japanese people. Min'na arigatō!!!

I can’t say enough great things about our Essence of Spring/Anime tour with Japan Deluxe Tours. Everything was exceptional, from the accommodations, to the experiences in the itinerary, and our amazing guide, Yuki. It all was top notch. The itinerary was perfect for me and my friend. We got to see and do so much in only 8 days and it was SO much fun. I had the best time and would absolutely book with JDT again in the future!!

The tour was chosen for the tour coverage, cherry blossom & Takayama Festival timing. Even though some days were long we certainly covered a lot. We were guided by a warm knowledgable, patient & approachable at all times Miho & Captain, our excellent driver. Great keeping our devices charged & free wifi on the coach a plus. Sincere thanks Miho & Captain for sharing your knowledge with us all. The roads, bullet train, ferries, the land, mountains, & tunnels after tunnels! Castles, shrines, temples, museums, gardens, food, hotels, Sushi & noodle making, iconic landmarks. Each day, was the “best day” of reflections of the past & present.Such a beautiful, safe country to travel. You thought you had seen it all & taken that perfect photo but were continuously finding extra surprises around every corner you turned. Unforgettable memories-

Really enjoyed Yuki. He showed us so many different things. Gave us plenty of time to look on our own. I’ve always loved anime but he made me fall in love with the country. I want to move here now.

Had a great time! Thank you for all of your help in arranging our vacation trip. Each day was filled with exciting sights and smells of Japan. The best 10-days, was not disappointed. A+ staff support and tour guide.

I chose this tour because it included the Takayama Festival and was shorter. In 8 nights, we covered a lot of highlights of Japan, including the Festival, Mt. Fuji, Matsumoto Castle, Shirakawago, amazing art museums, as well as Tokyo and Kyoto. The matcha tea ceremony, sushi making, and maiko experience were fun and authentic. I was impressed with how much we did in such a short time. While it meant some very long days, we were driven on an A/C bus. The hotels were great, and the breakfasts were extensive, including Japanese and Western dishes. Miho was patient, generous with information, and helpful (especially when I left my cellphone in a bathroom!) Unfortunately, because of the earthquake, Kanazawa was taken off our tour, which meant we were not able to experience a ryokan or authentic hotsprings. We were booked into 2 hotels with public baths instead. I would highly recommend this tour with Miho as a guide. Everything was looked after.

My first trip to Japan, and my first time using Japan Deluxe Tours. JDT made the entire trip so smooth and worry free. They were always willing to help me with the process and take the time to answer my questions. With a great selection of different tour packages, one can be sure to see the Japan of their dreams. I would very much use their services again and recommend them to other people interested in visiting such a wonderful country.

My 6 friends and I returned from an 11 day visit of Japan, with the assistance of this tour group. What an incredible experience each of us had ! Our tour guide Miho was a wealth of knowledge about all aspects of her country, She was very personable, friendly, and made our trip well, worth it ! Highly recommend this travel company !

Have been traveling on my own for a while now but decided to spend 8 nights of my 14 nights in Japan on a guided bus tour. It turned out to be an outstanding decision. With Miho as our experienced, knowledgeable, always professional but warm and approachable tour director and 24 other friendly and enthusiastic travelers in a very comfortable bus, everyday and every destination turned out to be a great adventure. I enjoyed the Takayama festival and spending the following morning exploring and photographing the charming and quaint old town and finding some worthwhile Japanese products to take home. Spending time in two villages on the Nakasendo trail was another highlight for me. The sushi making experience was a lot of fun. Although it felt rushed and hectic some times, overall, the itinerary worked really well for me. Thank you again, Miho, for all your good work in making this tour meaningful and memorable for me.. I enjoyed your thoughtful mini lessons on the history, culture, and way of life in Japan peppered with your appropriate personal anecdotes. I learned a lot from traveling with you!

Our guide Miho was fantastic, and the bus driver for the week was wonderful. We were shown around many places in Tokyo and Kyoto. The hotels were in good locations for getting on a train to get around. The traditional inn didn't seem very traditional but was still very nice.

Some of the days for the anime tour in Tokyo had a lot of shopping stops which weren't that fun.

The tour was excellent, including Sue, our guide. Only suggestions -- more lunch food flexibility (as my daughter isn't big on fish and struggled with the no food options); too much anime in Tokyo (1 or 1 1/2 days would have been plenty); chartering a bus with a bathroom.

The tour was very informative, the guide was outstanding and the variety of sites visited was very well thought out and explained.

Our Japan tour with Japan Deluxe tours was amazing! Our guide Kanako made everything go smoothly and she was always very patient with all of us. She made visual aids for her explanations of where we were going and then quizzed us on what we visited which was great because then you can actually remember where you'd been. Our tour group was fantastic! A very diverse group in ages and nationalities but it felt like our little tour family! We miss them all already! We can't forget our driver, Mr. Miyagi, always so kind and patient! Thank you Japan deluxe tours and Kana for such a wonderful experience!

Excellent all-around from the many sites to especially our guides Miho and Yuki!! They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable going above and beyond the service of a normal tour guide. They truly made it very fun and tried to give us a once in a lifetime experience. I would definitely recommend this tour although now I’m thinking it may have been too short, I wish I would’ve sprung for the 15 day tour rather then 11!!!! Just so much to see and didn’t want to go. Will definitely come back and visit Japan again though for sure!

Our first trip to Japan, Yuki( JDT agent) made it easy for us to choose which trip. Our tour guide Hideseda Shimazaki was most humble person we met in our life.
Great country and people. Must visit Kumamoto,Takachiho,Beppu, Dogo, Takamatsu were our favorite. Stay 1 night at Japanese hotel and enjoy Bullet train. Our dietary restrictions were well taken care off
All the hotels were very comfortable except Kamenoi Hotel Beppu and Daiwa Roynet Matsuyama, were below par
But overall , we had a great time Thankyou Japan Deluxe Tours!!

Great trip! Our guide, Hide-san, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and kept the group together and on schedule day after day. We loved it! The only disappointment was not ever seeing Mt Fuji because of the weather that day. Gives us an excuse to return some time in the future. Japan Deluxe Tours did not disappoint!

Tour Guide Kana - Kyoto Osaka to Tokyo Great tour. Very Knowledgeable tour Guide and personal helpful insured group interaction which lead to new friend which we will keep in touch with. Lots of laughter. Take care of your Guide.
