Some suggestions for tour company:
1. Have a meeting the first night so people can meet and to understand the itinerary, etc.
2. Have all people on the tour stay in downtown Osaka and not out at the airport - it would give us a chance to explore Osaka without an hour each way to Osaka airport hotel.
3. Consider using Shinkansen from Osaka to Hiroshima. It might cost a little more, but we'd have more time for sightseeing and less time on bus. Bus could catch up later with luggage?
4. Day one was a bit daunting. Tokyo is overwhelming. Lunch on our own was a bit difficult for 1st day in a place where very little English is spoken. Maybe we need a little more help to get started.
5. Sad that Himeji castle was closed, but appreciated seeing the rice warehouse village.
6. Tour company does a great job of being flexible to meet people's needs.
7. 27 to 31 people is too many for one guide. Poor Hide-san. That's a lot of people and he handled it very well, but smaller groups would be nice. Break it into two groups.

Thanks for a great Japan tour!
Also, Thanks for wifi on the bus. Note in the itinerary which hotels have in the lobby. Many of us have iPods and cannot plug into the internet access in the rooms, but didn't realize there was a wifi in the lobbies.1. What did you think about the food? (Taste, variety) I'm sure they were excellent, but considerably different for me.2. Was the tour guide helpful? (Knowledge, communication, attitude) Hide-san: You are a saint. You handled everything very well and never get upset, even with some very difficult people and situations. You are an excellent tour guide, and a big contribution to Japan tours, Thank you!

Excellent! Great job to our tour guide who was enduring the grumpy old couple through out the tour. Fun Japan tou

Good job!

The tour was a good introduction to Japan. We have visited many interesting places - the 5 day Japan tour is a good taster. The first morning was a little overwhelming for some people as the streets were very busy. Kyoto was interesting. Overall, an excellent schedule. Thank you.
On the first arrival day I would have liked to have met the group for a drink/introduction in the early evenings as I was on my own.

We had a lot of free time in some places and just a few minutes in others, which was unfortunate. I had a great time, I loved the historical sites and the food!
Thanks Hide-san for the unforgettable Japan tour!

A most enjoyable journey we recommend
_ Start tour with a meeting and all guests to say their name and where they live
_ Give all quests a name card
_ Rotate seating in bus, passengers to move back 2 rows every morning.
_ Give all guests a gratuity envelope for tour guide and driver.
Thank you.

The Japan tour was good overall - perhaps a little thing because of long drives.
The tour guide was really excellent - knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Well done!

On the guide book it would be helpful to know the driving time, so we can prepare ourselves with snacks/drinks before departure. This was my first tour of Japan and enjoyed every bit. It was an excellent way to see a lot places in a short amount of time.
Masa-san was an excellent driver and always welcomed us on the bus with a smile.

Mr. Shimazaki was a reliable. We appreciate very much his work and personality.
Thank you to Mr. Shimazaki and our bus driver.
This was an unforgettable vacation taking a tour of Japan.
