Great for indoor play with the mini pro basketball hoop but it makes a mess and looks horrbile after a couple months. The orange coating on the outside falls off and is everywhere in the house!! I'm sorry the basketball did not live up to your expectations. Since the basketball is made of foam it will, at some point, begin to peel. The length of time depends on the type of play the ball incurs. Let us know if you have any questions. - Justin

Five Grandkids (5-9) love it and helps greatly with teaching fundamental and they have just plain fun with it.

My expectations were high due to the pricey nature of the hoop...but even still I was blown away by how rugged the hoop is...it really is a miniature version of a pro hoop!

My boys are 11 and 13 and dunk with force....the hoop stands up to their fierce dunks.

The rim would get loose from its mounts at first, but I inserted some lock washers and now it stays tight.

Wish I had one of these when I was a kid spending hours on a Nerf hoop...

decent hoop and ball. Satisfied

so good I bought it again

y three boys, who all play basketball, 2 for school and 1 still in elementary school, LOVE their hoops!! The play EVERY day. Honestly, the best gift ever!! I bought one for each of their rooms and then one bigger one (2.0) for the garage. I installed them all myself!!!...really quite easy!

My husband and I bought this set for our toddler boys, ages 4&5, for their birthdays. They love sports and I searched for something like this for at least a year. I wanted something that was a REAL basketball goal and rim, that my boy's could not destroy, and that would mount to their wall. This was PERFECT! They absolutely love it, and so do my husband and I :) We tend to play as well. It was easy to assemble and mount to their bedroom wall. It is a real goal and very sturdy! It has been a great addition to them, as well as us! Don't hesitate, this is the best!

This hoop is absolutely perfect, couldn't ask for better quality, kids love shooting on it. Have it bolted to a steel pole in the middle of my big indoor cemented shop. Extremely sturdy. Love it, love it.

Great product-- very sturdy and fun to use. The spring/rubber bushing gave out after my son and his friend hung on the rim (counter to the very clear instructions against this), but I emailed and got a free replacement from JustInTyme [...]. Excellent! One thing we don't like: The foam balls are too light for good shooting-- you can get used to it, but it would be better if they could come up with a similar ball with more mass. Customer service was great when the bushing/spring broke and got us a new one in days. Thanks!

closest thing to an outdoors hoop without going outside. can hang on the sturdy and flexible rim. (13 year old)

Put this hoop in my back yard for the kids. Rigged up my own free standing mount. Would love to see them come out with both a portable and in ground mounting pole. Can't express enough what a quality product this is.

This is an awesome hoop that is very well made. My only complaint is that the backboard for the Mini-Xtreme is too small. The proportions just aren't right. I assume they use the same backboard for all their mini hoops. The Mini-Xtreme has the largest diameter hoop and it's not proportional to the backboard. It can make bank shots kind of hard.

JustInTymeSports says: Andrew, we do use the same size backboard on our 2.0 and Xtreme models as the previous request from customers had been to increase the rim size. Now, however, we will be coming out with a hoop with a larger backboard, and potentially even larger rim. Happy hoopin'!

We have this net set up in a 1 1/2 storey room in the front of our house. It makes for incredible 2 on 2 games for both kids and adults. The size, construction and quality of the net and backboard is great.
What really draws this product down is the method of attaching it to the wall. The upper attachment point has a single bolt hole, and it connects the wall to the top of the backboard with two pieces of non-secure thin metal. On the bottom there is a strong base, but it attaches to the wall with two bolts only onto the center line, behind the basket.
In use, the backboard gradually then increasingly rocks back and forth on the center pivot point and loosens all the attachment bolts. What is needed is to secure the backboard to the wall on the sides, as well, so it can't move when touched by the ball or by hands during play. And fixing the problem with the way the unit is constructed isn't easy. This is a major drawback in my opinion. We have had the net a week and already had to reattach it to the wall twice, each time with longer and longer bolts than those supplied.
We got the rubber ball with it and it has fallen apart after only 1 week of play. So count on getting some more better balls if you do any serious play.
With a redesign that adds additional attachment points to secure this unit, you have a fantastic product. Even with having to reattach it and now redesign it a little so it stays on the wall, we have had tons of fun with it.
In terms of further enhancements you might offer a larger backboard option.

The basket is awesome, now just need a kid I can blame it on and not look like I bought such a nice indoor basket for myself.

I have 2 boys (8 and 11) and we have it set up in the basement. They love it! It's for sure their "go to" way to play.

First off I want to say WOW.
This is a great quality hoop! I am really happy I bought the XTREME version as I like the bigger hoop. I've owned many indoor mini-hoops, but they all broke eventually. As of now, this one is holding up great.
The only 2 things you should watch out for are the WEIGHT and the ball. Also, would be nice if backboard was just a little bigger.

The WEIGHT: this hoop weighs A LOT when assembled. When I first set it to my wall it almost pretty much tore my wall apart! So what I did was I attached a wood frame to the wall and then attached the hoop to the wood. This really help distribute the weight a lot. Now hoop is a lot of fun.

The Ball: I got the 7" rubber ball. beware its sound a lot like a real (just smaller) official basketball when bounced on the floor. So what I did was I put an old foam mattress pad under my carpet so now when the ball bounces the people downstairs won't hear a thing (I live in an apartment).

Anyway the main downside to the ball (I don't know if this is just my ball or if this happens to all rubber Justin Tyme Balls) is that it is already starting to come apart! the rubber is tearing and I am really dissapointed. Again, this might just be my ball, as I have not heard any other complaints like this.

Overall: HOOP=GREAT QUALITY/BUILD/SIZE , just wish ball would hold up better.
I gave it 4 stars because even though the HOOP really is a quality product, it is expensive, i wish the backboard were a little bigger, it caused my walls and I some problems and the ball is getting annoying. But anyway, I would recommend the HOOP ITSELF to everyone as it is the best in the market.
JustInTymeSports says: Thanks so much for a detailed review! We are sorry about the issues with the ball. In regards to mounting the hoop, it sounds like you may not have had a stud to tap into. Either way, sometimes additional support is just what you need if you're going to play extra hard!

I got the mini pro 1.0 ( older version ) and i loved it. my dad said that i could get a new one and i got it. It is oficially the best mini basketball hoop, well maybe second to the mini pro extreme. I love it and would definrtly buy it.

I loved this hoop. I got it a few years ago and one of the best things is that it is easy to adjust. the reason why i gave it 4 stars were because i dunked it hard and ripped it out the wall but beside the strenth it is perfect.

This thing is AWESOME. We have spent 3 times this on Nerf hoops over the years. I wish we would have found this 10 years ago.

I bought this mini basketball hoop for me bedroom at my new house. The room is designed with a small basketball court in it so I wanted to go all out with it. This basketball hoop is very nice and has great construction. This is by far the best mini basketball hoop out there.
What I was wondering is when are you coming out with your new styles of hoops? What is going to be different with them? I might want to get anther one then if they are going to be good
