I bought this collar after owning another Dogtra collar for a single dog for the past 6 years. That collar was really nice, and I wouldn't consider buying another brand when I added a new dog and needed a two-collar system. I decided to get this system based on the flashing LED feature. I'll probably never own more than two dogs, but the LED feature was enough to sway me towards this 4-dog system. After having used this for a couple months, I can say I am happy with my purchase. Yes, it's expensive, but it is reliable and durable. I would like to see future collar systems have a way of seeing collar battery life while the dog is wearing the collar. Maybe through the transmitter or even on the collar itself? When the collar begins to lose power, it can go rather quickly, and it would be nice to plan for charging/low power issues without having to constantly charge the unit, which can decrease overall battery life. The layout of the transmitter takes a little getting used to if you are used to a different type transmitter, but if you are starting out with this I'm sure it will be fine and easy to learn. I still think I might have preferred two separate buttons for each dog - one that pages/LED flashes, and one that delivers a correction. These are personal critiques and I'm sure a lot of people might disagree. Other than that, I am happy with the unit and would definitely recommend. The LED feature is great for night use.

Too early to tell. It has only been a little over a week and no drastic change.

I recently replaced the batteries in two older Element 300's and couldn't be happier with the results. Replacing the batteries was easy and the collars are now working like new.

I like the new 200C. We've had it for over a month. We have a 35 lb highly energetic and overly friendly Golden Whoodle. We use the device mainly to train her to respect other people and other dogs' space. We use it everyday and she it fine with it. The device is very compact and easy to use. She responds to the vibration and we hardly use the nick or continuous.

The only concern I have is that the rubber plugs for the charging ports are not tight and therefore not waterproof. Our dog goes into the ocean everyday in the summer so that is a major concern.

I'd like to follow up on my previous review to correct and add that the charging ports are water proof with or without the rubber plugs. Since that's the case, this unit deserves 5 stars.

Wrong battery for my 2300

We've had our dogtra for quite a while. I love it! The dog has never taken off very far since he's been trained with it. He comes back right away. I don't even have to use the shock side. I just hit pager and comes running back.

Had issues with Garmin, tried to save money, the Dogtra 2300 not only exceeds expectations and works perfect every time with numerous settings it was affordable. Should have never wasted my time with Garmin

I was initially reluctant about using it. It has made an enormous change in only three weeks.!

One of my rescue dogs is a barker - not an "occasional" barker, but a "barker that doesn't know how to quit". I've tried positive training at PetSmart, positive training with a private instructor, & positive training on my own. I've also tried everything that poked, prodded, sprayed, or made noise and/or "supersonic" sounds - both on his collar & out in the yard. In short, I was at my wit's end, but couldn't stand the thought of giving up on him. An acquaintance mentioned that they were going to have someone help train their new puppy for their son who is nearly blind. She gave me the trainer's name & I contacted him. After hearing my sad tale, he immediately suggested this collar. I gave him the "Third Degree" of questioning, then ordered it (one of the deciding factors was that these collars are apparently used to train hunting dogs & I figured it was worth a try). I tried it on myself to see just what this sweet dog would feel each time I pushed a button on the remote - I had to be certain it wasn't painful. When I was convinced it was an "attention-getter" & not painful, I put it on him & we went outside. After a few "nips" his barking nearly stopped. I was cautiously hopeful ;-) He will still go to the fence for a "bark-fest" with the neighbor's dog, but when he gets a "correction" will stop within a few barks. When I choose to let the dogs out, he sits by the door waiting for the collar, then joyfully bounds outside. He's also learning to stop annoying the cat (although they still play), stop barking up the tree(s) after the squirrel(s), & come when called. I am still cautiously optimistic, but my "hopefulness" is on a high ;-) Maybe someday we can all go for a nice long walk with no horrible problems ;-)

No issues thus far. Seems to be holding the charge. Maybe not as good as the batteries it came with, but the unit is over 6 years old and still performing well.

I have had 2 other Dogtra collars over the years. This new model is perfect for my "sensitive" Doberman girl. I don't need the super long range capability. The one real problem I've experienced is how easy the stimulation dial moves. I don't always put the receiver around my neck. I will put it in my pants front pocket. The dial either moves to "0" or to "100" just from the movement of walking. I wish there was either a lock setting for stimulation or change the dial so it doesn't move from a selected setting so easily.
I like the smaller unit-it is fine for my current dog.

awesome product! We've been using ours for over a year! It is a very effective tool to have. We have a 90 lb American bull dog mix. He can be very aggressive. He also wanders off , ignored our calls to him. We took him to a trainer. The trainer suggested we get Dogtra. Best thing ever!

Best ever collar I have ever used and the collar is large for growth

I love our product. We live on 5 arces and with the two dogs it helps me keep track of them. I never have to zap them usually the vibrator works if needed.

I initially bought the collar because my dog barks constantly when she is in the backyard and also at TV commercials. She is 16 mos. old and I was hoping she would grow out of it. I have only used the vibration mode, pushing the button when she barks. She stops right away. She also knows when the collar goes on it means business. She is more subdued and conscious of the consequences. I have not had to use the shock feature yet. I will also use the collar for training, but have not utilized it for that yet. It has saved my sanity!

Finally got the product that works to control my dogs on my 5 mile walks!! Does not take much training. After a few zaps, dogs respond with just the vibrate mode!
