After doing some online research, we purchased this e-collar set as a final attempt at teaching our two dogs recall. They are a sibling pair of Husky/Pyrenees/Shepard who are so prey-driven that letting them off-leash was always stressful, and sometimes resulted in us completely losing them to a herd of antelope (we live in Wyoming). Our results have been fantastic, and I would not hesitate to recommend this e-collar system to any dog owner.
The product itself is made to last, and the waterproof feature plus having the receiver protected inside the collar band are two details worthy of call-out. We purchased a couple of toggle-cinch collars to replace the buckle-style one that comes standard, and find that the e-collars are much easier to fit properly, especially on long-furred dogs where prong contact could be compromised. We did purchase the prong extenders for one of our dogs who has longer neck fur, but the standard prongs work fine for our other dog.
It has worked out for us to have both dogs on the same remote, but I would note that if you have two dogs who are likely to need very different stimulation levels it might be wise to get two of the single systems - it's a toss-up between keeping track of two remotes OR constantly having to change the stimulation level and possibly making mistakes, as the remote does not allow for setting a level to each dog.
The collar does come with a training guide, and I found it helpful to read some 101 blog posts on the Dogtra site, but we watched a series of YouTube videos from Shield K9 Dog training that were just excellent and followed the training progression over a series of weeks with our dogs. It has been quite a process and we did transition through a phase of using long-lines with the e-collars, but a couple months into it we are now able to use mostly the "page" function that just gives sound and vibration, and reserve the static nick for moments when our dogs have gone out of sight or are very distracted (with cheese cube treats for coming)!

I use for hiking, not hunting, I need instant location tracking in urban areas and urban forests, works well in forest canopy so far,

large unit w 9 mi range, big antenna which I tuck under the collar
receiver antenna is long but fits in my pocket

the mini size would be better but i didn't want to trade off the range 9mi vs 4 mi just in case and price is the same

the e collar is useless for training and command, it works off the cell phone screen not the controller so there is no quick access to commands. i removed the contact points. no vibration pager, it emits a tone which strangely my hound reacts to more so than e stim or vibration. when the beep sounds he comes running, the TRX w no e collar is only $20 less,

i use a Dogtra 280c for off leash control, works well but i have to use 2 collars

the Findster GPS has issues, no real time tracking 20 sec delay, sometimes doesn't work, will not work under a forest canopy, horrible cust serv

the Whistle GPS same as Findster but good cust service so far

The product performs as the description. Definitely upgrade to the 14 gauge wire. I rented a cable trencher to install and it is good for a terrain without many tree roots. This was purchased for a Australian/German Sheppard. He is currently 3.5 months old.

Have multiple Sportsdog products and neither come close to the quality and strength of this collar. Never going back, does anyone want to buy 2 used collars cheap...

A great tool for sibling Golden Retriever pups (12 months). Haven’t used the shock function much as the vibrate function works fine to correct their behavior. Wish I would have bought sooner. The best accessory I have ever purchased in all the years with five large dogs. These pups are well mannered and would almost be able to wear ascots they are so polite.
