After moved about half a year ago and a bad experience then I tried a different company this time. Also let down again! it was a bad day just as written in some of the other reviews.
Lacking experience, unprofessional removalists and the price was much higher as expected. I even asked for a estimation at the beginning of the day and that was way off!
Does Melbourne have any good removal companies?? Next time I will do it myself, a waste of money!!

King & Wilson have revived the old school standard of service & quality! My furniture was kept in great nick and delivered right on time with a friendly smile. I definitely would recommend them to anyone - thank you :)

Amanda Coaker has bent over backwards for us for the last 9 months, we have even met her parents who helped us with some temporary issue! Scott and Scott who removed our furniture from Brighton last Feb were, totally efficient and delightful. Jennifer Bean has assisted Amanda so well and John, Scott and Nigel in the storage bay are the most helpful, pleasant guys you could meet - despite the fact we have been a real nuisances with all our requests for this and that!

Staff were friendly, but service was slow. They got the uplift date wrong once and that delayed our shipment by a month. 3 months since initiating the shipping with them, their partner in the UK (Anglo Pacific) wants to charge us a further £70 fee for UK Customs inspection, for their 'extra labour costs'. My goods are being held to ransom - if I don't pay up, they won't release my goods, plus they'll charge me storage costs. Not impressed.
If you ship with them, make sure you factor in an extra $120 so you can actually collect your shipment!

I've used King and Wilson in business for many years moving delicate and valuable objects and have always found them exemplary in their professionalism and knowledge. They have provide excellent advice and solutions in complex freight issues. Recently I used them for a domestic move that was highly stressful and their sensitivity and the care they took made the experience smooth and quick. Over the years no items have been damaged and everything has arrived on time on and budget, regardless of scale, fragility, and tight deadlines.

I can't even begin to express my disappointment at the service I have received from King & Wilson. I was quoted 6-8 weeks to have my goods shipped from Melbourne to Canada, so I had everything sent 8 weeks prior to my arrival in early August. Nothing arrived in August, we were then told that our things would arrive in Canada in late September and have to be shipped accross the country so we would expect them in October. We have since been informed that our items won't arrive in Canada until mid-late Oct and then have to be shipped accross the country. Our 6-8 weeks has stretched out to at least 20 weeks! We have had to replace almost everything we shipped.
Choosing King & Wilson has cost us more money, time & tears then we could have ever imagined. The worst part for me is that no one has taken ownership of this mistake and we have not received one single apology. Don't choose King & Wilson for an international move, save yourself a lot of grief.

I have excellent contact with the relevant staff members in two countries on different sides of the world. I was kept informed of the location and transfer of the goods and given updates of arrival times. When it arrived I was able to meet someone at the door and accept delivery.
