A little bit heavy for what I used it for I started with bait and a 4 ounce sinker but the KY were smashing my baits so moved to a grim pepper lure and got smashed the big KY didn't stand a chance I found the reel to be very smooth the rod and 30lb braid made casting effort less 5 stars.
