Shimano Talica 16 IIA 2-Speed Jigging Reel
I have the original Talica 12 2-Speed. That reel is great.
I recently purchased this new one (i.e. the Shimano 23 version). This reel is great too.
First session I caught and landed three Kingfish in the 15-17kg range. Compared to the original, my old Talica would have made short work of these, as did the new version.
Will I catch more fish with the updated version, I doubt it.
The improvements in my opinion have more to do with usability than performance. The new Talica is a touch smoother, a touch more compact, a touch lighter, setting the drag is more audible and positive clicks, with a touch more drag.
The old reel was, and still is great in my opinion. The new reel is just a more refined version of an already great product.

For the most part I really like these pants. They're comfortable and work well for keeping me dry.I was really hoping I could make do without the lower leg zippers but its a real drag. That said, given how comfortable they are I dont really mind just wearing the pants all day.The chest pocket is good, but surprisingly deep which sometimes makes it hard to get my phone back out.And the buckle placement (in the middle of the back) is annoying when driving a vehicle or sitting with your back against any kind of back rest.but, if those things dont seem like they'd be an issue for you I'd recommend these pants!
