Poor quality, I guess you get what you pay for. Doesn't ventilate well and the inside ends up dripping wet. Also not a one size fits all, tight fit for a male head.

I bought this because my existing fuel sender had rusted resulting in low tank readings than actual. So this was plastic, sealed with wiring so ticked a few boxes. Wasn't sure about the the reed type vs the standard potentiometer type. Anyways decided to buy this. I connected an ohmmeter to it. There are 10 discrete steps (so 9 reed switches), my Yamaha gauge is 8 segment (plus flashing last segment - is 9). The installation instructions were relatively straight forward although all measurements are imperial :-( My tank is ~8-9" deep so quite shallow. I cut the rod to the prescribed length plus a bit. I compared the assembly to the original fuel sender, the new one was about 1" shorter so decided to lengthen it - if I had kept the prescribed length it would mean that it would read empty whilst there was about a reasonable amount of fuel in the tank. Also I noted that the sender doesn't go quite as high as the original - this means that it will display a full tank when there was still more volume in the fuel tank. But in reality probably not too much of an issue as I fill the tank until I see fuel in the fuelling pipe of the boat anyways. Also the wiring was about 30cm long, which meant the connection is on top of the tank, I would've preferred longer to ensure the connection was well above the tank. So overall ok, docked a star because of the shorter cable, and adjustment of the rod length.
