This is the best little portable sharpener. It has been with me for several years and just doesn't let me down. Many sharpening uses from small to large items; knives, broadheads, fishing, camping, the list goes on. If you are looking for an EDC sharpener for multi purpose but proven results and quality edge on most anything, this is the best bang for your buck, IMO.

This really is a great knife sharpener! I purchased a couple sharpening stones and had horrible results as I didn't know the correct angle to use when sharpening. First use of this field sharpener resulted in the best edge my pocket knife has seen in years! I can get razor sharp edges on all my knives with this field sharpener. I used to think new knives had sharp edges.. I can get my knives even sharper with this.

Heard about this sharpener for years and thought it was a bit of hype...and kind of pricey for what it is. But after a few years using a Lansky kit before moving to a manual sharpener rod kit with interchangeable whetstones...I finally decided to get the Ken Onion Work Sharp. The rod kit was able to get a nice sharp edge, but took about 10 minutes per knife. This belt sharpener is amazing, you can go from coarse/med/fine/buff belts and complete a knife in about 2 minutes. Sharpest knives I've ever had with this sharpener. Completely worth the money.

A little follow up from my review in August. After some months of ownership this is hands down the best sharpener I have ever used. People around me have been so impressed my uncle bought one and my pops is getting on for Christmas. All my buddies at work bring me their knives for me to sharpen because they just can't beat the mirror, razor sharp edge I'm able to achieve with this product. some time in the future i plan on buying the "Professional Precision Adjust" kit. I bought this knife sharpener sysyem i while ago and I never had a better system to sharpen than this until recently. When I bought my new bushcraft knife with a fixed blade of 6mm thick I noticed that the clamp couldn't handle blades of this thickness and thuss need a bigger or better clamp.Can you please do something about it? People demand more from their knives nowadays, so they have to be sturdier and thicker, but users also want to be able to sharpen them when they become dull. With the precision sharpener this is an easy job if the clamp can also hold it.

I've been hand sharpening for over 40 years. It takes skill. I got this system for Christmas. It....is....amazing. It's strongest feature is repeatability. Every single pass is the exact same angle. Even my 15yo daughter loves it. She's been struggling with traditional sharpening. 10 minutes after touching this system, she had a razor sharp knife. I'm just dumbfounded. To think of all the time I spent learning to get that perfect edge.

This sharpener works great but the stones wear out very fast.I've had mine less than a year and have just ordered stones for the 4th time.I have a lot of knives but I don't sharpen them every time I use them.I use a ceramic and a strop most of the time but have still managed to wear out 3 sets of the 220,320,and 400 plates and 2 sets of the 600 and 800 plates.The sharpening system itself works great.The only other complaint I would have is the base for small pocket knives will scratch the hell out of any polished blade.Be careful with your Case knives,keep the base clean and don't let your knife slide or slip at all.Don't push,pull or drag the blade sideways or forward and backward.Again,the system works great and I enjoy using it.I have had no issues with the quality or performance of the sharpener I just wish the stones lasted longer.

It took some getting used to. I ruined a good friend's meat cleaver and I have uneven edges on a $399 Ultimate Survival Tips knife made of D2 steel. I later realized that the grinding guide was way off. It was replaced at my expense but the new one does great. I would go ahead and try to fix the edges on my expensive knife but I would lose more metal than I want too. I still had to replace the expensive meat cleaver for my friend at $200, but now I have sharpened a lot of knives for me and my friends with great success! This really does as good as me doing it by hand, and so.e friend's request by hand only still after the cleaver incident. I do love the KO sharpener now it's my favorite one. I would definitely recommend getting one for yourself and be a good friend and buy your best friend one too. It's a most practical gift for any guy or gal that you could give.

This was purchased to replace an older, failed model which had provided many years of quick, precise sharpening of many different knives.So far, this Mk.2 has work very much the same as the previous model, with a few updates. I like how the Mk.2 does not require changing out heads for different angles. If this lasts as long as the old model, I look forward to many years of reliable service. By far, I think this has been the quickest, easiest sharpener I have tried over the years. A+ recommended.
