A really good paddle and works well in terms of moving a board through the water. I really like the paddle except that the fastening latches are really not made to last. Ours broke after first day out. The top part was not fastened well and was moving around, so we fastened it and the plastic latch broke. I had to use tape to get it fixed and it is now a two piece paddle and not three anymore.
The weight is good and as I mentioned it creates good movement.
For next purchase I might want to look for alternate paddle with better locking/latching mechanisms first before...
