Very snug, not quite as warm as a woollen beanie, but outdoors on a chilly windy morning it's the front runner. I have not worn it in or on the water. It is great to be able to throw it in the wash on a normal cycle without worrying it will shrink.

Look it's functional. I keep it for emergencies, when I need to be sure I've got something in my kit to warm my noggin. Style-wise, not my thing, but good for wind and wet, not for sun protection. Handy bit of kit that contributes to my peace of mind knowing it's there when I need it. Comfy.
