I'm a very keen outdoors and fishing type. I've been wearing a North Face goretex jacket for over 20 years. It's good, but big bulky and heavy.
So I took a punt and bought the chillproof jacket. Two days later I got caught in a really bad downpour whilst in a boat.
The jacket was fantastic. Light but warm, great fit true to size, and bulletproof against the weather
It's also great that there's some stretch and good touches such as the thumb cords keep you even drier and warmer.
Highly recommended, well worth the money!

I love the warmth and lightness, handles the rain great so far.
The fit isn't perfect ( the way it sits on me) but that could be because it's a second??
Not sure what makes it a second as it didn't come with a defects list??
I'm considering buying a first quality one now so I can use this one for work.

The jacket is terrific. Great colour and styling and I wore it to a very cold footy game to trial it and it was perfect.
Tip - Get a long sleeve merino shirt to wear under this jacket and you have a waterproof, windproof and toasty wear experience.

Fabulous jacket! Feels like you are in a cozy cocoon. Wind proof, water proof and warm. I wear mine sailing. It's a fantastic sturdy jacket.
The size chart is true to fit. Do not downsize. I did and the shoulders became too tight. I now have the size ten and it's perfect and def wouldn't want it any smaller as I'd feel restricted in the shoulder area. I'm usually a size ten and the size ten on me is not super bulky or excessive in material. Re getting life jacket over it is fine. Still enough room under it to wear any warm layer so it's perfect! Highly recommend.
