Have purchased a number of the rapid dry shirts/ rashies for their suitability to the activities for which I and the people I have bought them for engage in.
For me, their value is in their versatility when hiking/ bushwalking. I love that I can wear a shirt that looks like a shirt but can swim and dunk in rock pools or the pools at the bottom of waterfalls and then jump out and continue on my way knowing it won't take too long to dry. I do value the shirt.
One of the persons the rapid dry rashie was purchased for was active in the diving industry and a lifeguard. It's obvious value as sun protection, its shirt look and quick dry properties make it valuable in this setting as well.
My child has one for swimming in but also for when he wants to fish.
I purchased one for my brother who enjoys the beach and a walk plus needs to be mindful of exposure to the sun.
I guess it is/ they are versatile and work well for us.

I love the collar it has kept the sun off my neck when snorkeling. Once out of the water it dries rapidly and it wasn't cold to wear. It also was warming in very cold water

I do a fair amount of ocean swimming in an area which sometimes has boats in the area. I have also had a number of skin cancers , so I need sun protection and to be visible. My new sharkskin rash is ticks the boxes. The rapid dry is an added bonus.

I really like the material and that I can wear it for 5 hours without feeling cold, if there is wind. I teach in the outdoors and primarily need a efficient sun rashie to prevent sun exposure. My previous one had cut out hand loops in the end of each sleeve which was a really great feature for sun exposure and covered most of the top of the hands. This would be a very welcomed feature for future designs. The rashie fits well and I like the lightness of the material and flexibility whilst working in the water.
