I was excited to get my new sharpener. It was easy to set up and use. All of my knives are much sharper now. Being able to have a set angle is awesome for the consistency. The strop attachment looked like it had already been used and didnt feel nearly as well made as the rest of the sharpeners.I am giving it five stars, simply because it worked exactly as advertised.

Reasonably price and simple to use. A novice like me can put a sharp edge on with little effort. Only complaint is the magnet that holds the diamond plates on is weak on one side and the plate moves or falls off when sharpening

I first used one of these sharpeners in Utah when a Forest Service firefighter let me borrow his. Im a helicopter mechanic. I was blown away at how quickly it sharpened and how perfect my edge was every time. Within the next couple weeks I found myself in Pinedale Wyoming and found one of these at a sporting goods shop so I bought it. That was 2018 and it cost $20. Now I know that prices have gone up in the last several years but for the cost of this to go up 125% over the original cost is too greedy. These are made in China.

Works great and thank you for excellent customer service.The only reason I did not give 5 stars is my concern that the new roller looks just like the old one that broke.Its a plastic guide pressed on a metal roller bearing.I hope this one lasts longer than the old oneI hated to throw out the old unit just because of this small part.

All in all it does a good job sharpening my kitchen knives. The only thing i don't like is that one side of the guide keeps a perfect edge but when you switch sides because of the rotation of the belt the blade lets pulled into the belt and the angle is not the same on both sides. Still I like using it and the knives will cut

My old which I had for years some how got a belt stuck and ruined the drive pulley. I was told that it was not repairable and was given the option of buying a new one with a good discount. I ordered a new one and it was immediately sent to me. I only used it on the two different knives and it performed admirably. I have absolutely no complaints on the customer service or the machine.

This is a great light duty sharpener. I used the previous version for 10 years and upgraded to the Mk. 2 when it died. My minor quibble is with the level of detail in the manual. I have a specific need to sharpen at 45 degrees (planer blades) and while the Scissor guide does *appear* to be 45 degrees, it would be reassuring if the manual had stated this spec. I do feel this sharpener is adequate for my needs, which is DIY level tool maintenance, but having a bit more information would have been helpful.

For years(close to 20) I owned and regularly used an older model sharpener. It was the predecessor of the Mk.2. It was a great tool until I wore it out. I recently recieved an Mk.2 model and this is an even better sharpener. I didn't anticipate or understand how the old model could be improved , but Work Sharp did. easier adjustment of blade angle is the number one improvement for me. You no longer need a wrench to loosen nuts and swithch guides. A simple flick of a lever accomplishes th change in a second. I've gone through my wifes paring knives and my pocket knife and all are back to being pleasantly sharp again.Thanks, Work Sharp

This is my second Knife and Tool sharpener having bought version 1 about 6 years ago, which I loved. Wore the thing out I used it so much. Used the Mk.2 for the first time the other day and was pleased as punch. Some definite improvements over the former. My only disappointment is that it did not come with a cool carry scatchel, as the first one did. But dont get me wrong, this is a fine product and when I wear it out Ill buy another.
