Stoney Creek APEX Cooling Mens Hoodie
Boom! Nailed my first Marlin this year wearing an Apex Hoodie. Love it. This gear is very much part of my fishing kit now. So comfortable to wear. I'd normally wear a singlet out on the boat in summer, but was impressed with how light, cool and comfortable this hoodie is. No need for slopping on greasy sunblock now. Was sceptical at first, thinking it was just another rash shirt, but honestly the best boating/fishing gear i've ever worn. Looks sic too. All the boys want one now to look like a team out on the water. Well done Stoney Creek. Im hooked.

Stoney Creek APEX Strike Womens Shorts UPF50+
It's hard to find a good pair of active shorts these days that have multipool pockets and a built-in bike-short for comfort and confidence. And these ladies APEX Strike Shorts have all of that! They also have stretch which is a bonus! Great style, fit and shape.... if you're a fan of the Stoney Creek winter Active tights these shorts will become your new summer favorite!

DAM Fighter Pro 320 FD Spinning Reel
A really neat and cute little reel!
I love that it comes with a plastic spool, if you're the sort of person who might scratch up the metal one on the rocks.
The one issue I've found with it is the design of the handle - unless you screw it in so tight that it's difficult to wind, I've found that the handle assembly comes a bit loose and can contact the bail on long or energetic retrieves, which isn't ideal but also a pretty easy flaw to live with at $30.
Fits >250m 8lb Fireline. Currently using it for catching live baits on sabikis and spinning for kahawai on light tackle. Overall a fine product at its price-point

Kilwell Black Shadow BS802 General Purpose Spinning Rod 8ft 8-12kg 2pc
Really good entry-level rod for bait fishing at rivermouths and estuaries, as well as floating flasher rigs off the rocks.
In an ideal world it would be slightly stiffer, but given the price point there's really not a bad word you can say about it.
A really good, cheap first rod.
