I absolutely LOVE this sharpener! I have never in my life been worth a damn at sharpening a knife and Ive tried all kinds of fancy (and expensive) gadgets. I ran across this at our local Walmart and thought ok, it might be worth trying now everyone at work asks me to sharpen their knives lol. It only takes a few minutes to get a good working edge and a few more to get an edge you can actually shave with. I love this and will never use another

I was using this yesterday. A new knife came in and the blade was not sharp the entire length of the blade. I will not name the knife company. I raised a bur along the entire length and was happy that it was sharp. I also polished the blade with the workshop bench stone, stropped it on the leather on the field sharpener and have a new EDC.

Got it on a lark; thought 21st century technology would trump first century whet stones. Maybe, I guess. Sharpens okay and is quick, at least the abrasive belts turn quickly . I keep the Work Sharp gizmo in my tool chest, but honestly I think I prefer my whet stone. Whet stones have been around since at least 79CE, require no warranties or attachments, never have to worry about power outages, and theres something therapeutic about a singular focus on your knife and whet stones. Thats just my opinion. But it is an okay gizmo. If I can repackage it perfectly maybe Ill just give it to my son-in-law.

I had a box of the P220 belts that I had bought over a year ago. The belts broke as soon as I put the first knife in the sharpener. It broke at the splice in the belt. my guess is the adhesive got old and brittle with age. So use the belts quickly and don't stock up. I like this sharpener lot and it is lots easier that using whetstone so I'll keep using it. My wife loves it when I keep her kitchen knives sharp!

After a few weeks of watching and reading reviews and trying to decide between the KO2 vs the KO2 w/Tool Sharpener, I finally decided on just the KO2 model. I could not be more impressed and pleased with its ease and ability to sharpen. Through the years Ive had numerous sharpeners, but have never had one that could so easily and consistently produce such a sharp edge. For the few tools I have that may need sharpening, the KO2 is fully capable of meeting the challenge.

Work Sharp Ken Onion MK2 Elite Knife & Tool Sharpener
I bought this during Worksharps Bezos Free, sale. Already a hit in my mind - but it gets better. I had a KO MK I, and it was fine for what it is, but the MK II is an order or two better. I have a couple of throw-away knives I use to practice with. Using the blade-grinding attachment I was able to reproduce the edges and get a great edge on my cheap knives quickly. I could see the burr forming as I sharpened the knives - very impressive. This is much, much faster than the MK I - not nearly the same amount of passes required to get your knives sharp. I sharpened four kitchen knives in about five minutes (fast for me, especially with a new sharpener). I got a scary sharp edge on my Buck 284 in no time at all. This is a great sharpener - I cant recommend this enough. The only thing I wish Worksharp would do: develop and sell a case for the MK II that includes the blade grinding attachment and extra belts. Worksharp - Please do this. My MK I is available to a good home for a reasonable price.
