I went camping with a few friends in June, scouting out Elk Territory in Colorado. One of my buddies, Chris, had one and we put it to work that weekend. With a good amount of snow, it was hard to keep anything dry and lit so noodles, hot drinks, and majority of the cooking depended on his Flash as well. I had to have one of my own and bought one for my Uncle as well. So far, it is very light and doesnt take up too much space at all. Should do us good this September when we chase some Bugling Bulls.

Here is a tip on making it last...you must take off canister and igniter from cup each and every time after use or it will rust and be inoperable. If your igniter stops working just use a match or lighter. I got the green camo its my second one in 3 months. I left the canister and igniter attached to cup on first one and left inside my tent it rusted due to me not disassembling each time. Possibly the best campstove ever! I leave it in my car, disassembled haha and ask people at the dog park if they want a cup of tea. Thank you so much Tammy and gals in office you all are amazingly helpful and kind

I bought the Jetboil Flash for a camping trip in the mountains of Pennsylvania. It boiled water very quickly as advertised. I also bought the Jetboil pot support and French Press . I would recommend buying both of those. The pot support makes the Jetboil stove more utilitarian. You can use pots and pans and do more with it than just boil water. It was sturdy enough to support a heavy 8 inch cast iron skillet. The French Press made it possible to have gourmet like coffee in the cold mountains of PA. I would also recommend watching the Jetboil how to video on Youtube to learn how to use it properly.

I have been using a Jetboil Java all Summer. I enjoy hiking and river trips here in Colorado. Basically just follow the directions. Dont put the coffee press on before boiling water. If you do, the boil will push grounds up past the press. Using the press after the water is hot gives perfect coffee without grounds.
It is very compact and light. Using the small fuel can, it all packs into the cup. Very convenient and space saving. No more spilling white gas and everything smelling bad. No more pumping it up. Just hit the igniter and have coffee in less than 2 minutes. Really!

This is my second one , nothing really wrong with my first one other that I just want a new one. Boils up the water faster , you say whats faster ? At around 7,500 ft. My old one took about eight minutes on the average, were my buddies took five minutes, now when its cold (38 degrees) in the morning at 6 am you want your coffee ASAP! Then more water for you meal before you hit the stream for fishing. Three minutes makes a difference. By the way I sold my old one complete for $50 bucks at the garage sale.

Great product and features. I have used the flash system maybe 80-100 times and now the coating inside the cup is starting to degrade. The burner is also a problem after heavy use. When putting on tne canister there is quite a spill of gas fluids on my hand. I have never used this jetboil for anything Else than heating water and never used Any objects In the cup
I took the product to a dealer and he Said they last about 5 years and then you need to by a new flash. Again a great product but not durable

I purchased one from Academy Sporting Goods and used it twice camping. It worked well. The igniter failed to work on the third camping trip, there is no resistance when pushing the igniter, so no spark. I did not keep my cash receipt and JetBoil will not repair it under warranty without a receipt. Poor customer service. You definitely need the large fuel can or the plastic base accessory or it could tip over.

the connection between the valve and the burner is wobbly, and according to the company thats how its designed. then customer service told me they could do less for me than my local shop. btw, mini-mo has the same issue. looks like corners have been cut since earlier stoves ... the older ones my camp-mates had were all stable.

My brother and I both on Jet Boil Flashes. We have only had the best luck with them, using them for backpacking. It is amazing how quickly they boil water and how long the fuel canisters last. Using them for backpacking. They are very durable as well. Customer service was very friendly and extremely helpful.

This is a great stove when it comes to the combination of size/weight and fuel efficiency. However after only approximately 20 uses parts of the burner started melting. I have never used the Jetboil Flash for anything else than bringing water to a boil and switched it off as soon as possible to save fuel.
