Jetboil MicroMo Camping Cooker System 6000 BTU/h Tamale
I'm hiking the PCT this year. I purchased this jetboil despite my never-ending quest to reduce my pack weight. Though a few ounces heavier than other popular PCT cook systems, I've used a Jetboil for years -- it's efficiency and all-in-one packability seemed ample compensation. Except ...
Jetboil redesigned its lid and it no longer stays put. It doesn't even attach to the pot if you're carrying a small fuel canister inside the pot. I've never had this problem before, but it was an absolute deal killer. I took the Jetboil back to REI. They tried -- didn't work. I tried a different MicroMo. Nope. I really don't understand how this design flaw didn't get caught early on, but I'm out of luck for the PCT and am moving on to other, lighter yet more inconvenient, alternatives. Boo.

1 Have had this stove for about 4 years and find that the lid is very frustrating as it will not click into place and i have to use an rubber band to keep it in place. i have tried boiling water to expand it so as too make it fit but to no avail.

Jetboil MightyMo Foldable Camping Stove 10000 BTU/h
The closest competitor would be MSR's Pocket Rocket. However, the MightyMo model has a higher level of quality and performance! The boil time for 1 Liter is very close and the
Jetboil is slightly heaver (I believe that this is due to better metals and safe construction).
The MSR DOES NOT have the three foldable stabilizing legs (this is an important item
when setting it up in the outdoors). The manner in which the three pot supports twist open
is very secure and strong. I would recommend this to any person for a simple, very functional, and reasonable priced small stove. ... thegourd ...

I bought this product 2 months ago and used it 1 time. The poor manufacturing of this product resulted in a complete return & refund. There's a small screw that is almost about to break on all of these.

Jetboil MightyMo Foldable Camping Stove 10000 BTU/h
Bought this stove to replace my more than 20-year-old Jetboil. It's very quiet, compact and is very easy to go from barely a simmer to a full boil. However, the stove is somewhat unstable with a little wobble. We try to see if we could tighten or loosen the little set-screw, which seemed to be out of wack. We could not back the screw out, so finally took it back to the EMS where we purchased it. All the other MightyMos also had the same crooked set screw and the same wobble. This seems like a flaw in the design.

Jetboil Zip Camping Cooker System 4500 BTU/h Carbon
I bought my ZIP about 3 years ago. I have made coffee with it, taken it on backpacking trips with me. I even taken it to Ukraine when I was deployed there for a year. It works just as great today as it did when I first purchased it. I see no reason to upgrade. The smartest purchase I ever made for my backpacking trips. Love it, love it. One tip: make sure you dont over fill the cup with too much water. If you dont shut it off before your water starts at a roaring boil, you could eventually burn your hand by the splashing water when turning it off. This goes with any product you buy.

I ordered this bad boy a few months ago, since then my life has never been better! Serving in the military subjects you to the worst food and coffee that the human mind can imagine! Enter the jetboil, I now have freshly pressed coffee faster than a fat guy can fail a pt test! And food? Forget about it! You want noodles? I'm making noodles! You want mac n cheese? Got that too! Tea time? I say yes. Woke up to rubber eggs and flavorless grits again? Not this guy!! Hot and fresh oat meal it is! I highly recommend this product to everyone I know and firmly believe it should be standard issue military equipment. This hot mama is on MY sensitive items list and should be on yours too!

Most of their produccts have been discontinued, I am hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail next month and I really want to have the jetboil as my go to cooking device. However, replacement parts, quality, and just plain lack of confidence in this product makes want to move on to somthimng different.
I have a GAZ stove I purchased 20+ years ago and it's held up better than the jetboil after two outings. Yes the GAZ stove is heavier and old school but it works!
I really tried to like the jetboil but its been a true let down, time to move on.

I ordered this March 22, the day after they closed operation due to COCID-19. Thats fair, however they were still open enough to take my money March 29, and now we have April 22 and no shipment, no communication, so why are you asking for a review???

Jetboil SUMO Camping Cooker System 6000 BTU/h
This was my second purchase of a Sumo Jetboil. We brought our first to NZ, where we live 6 months each year. It is a fantastic stove for a couple, and we decided to leave one in NZ and purchased another one for our Idahome. We use them on wilderness rafting trips, when we are going fast and light and they work wonderfully.

Couldnt be any easier or quicker! Loved cooking up dinner in minutes! Hiked Guadalupe Peak with 10 people and we came to camp starved and were eating within 10 minutes. I would recommend this to any outdoor enthusiast!

I bought this specifically for camping with a scout troop, and its perfect for that. It is even bigger than I expected, ideal for a group but would be WAY over the top for a solo of couple.
