Abu Garcia Ambassadeur C-7000 Baitcaster Reel
I have fished for salmon in the Canterbury big rivers and surf with both a 7000 and 6000c reel over a number of years, and they have never let me down. They are both circa 1970's vintage, and having just serviced them again are still working perfectly. They are easy to adjust for casting to eliminate 'birds nests' and with my original 9 foot rods I could match anyone 'in the surf' with ease. The only mod I made to the 7000 was to replace the bronze bearings with stainless roller bearings. The best fish caught was a 39lb salmon in the Rakaia near the mouth and the 7000 handled it with ease. The 6000c has been mainly used upstream for salmon also, and it never faulted with a good hookup. After a few days fishing I always stripped and cleaned the reels which was very easy to do, often being surprised at the amount of dirt and dust they collected. Nowadays the 6000c is used as a trout trolling reel, while the 7000 is used in the sea. These reels are strongly reccommended.

BLA Bladepro Level 50/50s Adult Life Vest L Grey
Love it,
Fits nice and snug, comfortable and once it۪s been on for awhile I don۪t even notice it.
The pockets are great for all the smaller fishing accessories.
