PENN Squall 12 Star Drag Overhead Reel
I was pretty curious to see how the reel stacks up against the older Mag 525 I've had for years. The reel seems pretty good with a higher build quality then I expected for the price point. Internally I cleaned out the heavy grease the reel was manufactured with and re-lubed with some rocket oil I had for my Mag 525. It casts pretty good, with the cast adjustment knob being easier to change than the slide version on the 525. Will be interesting to see how the reel stacks up after a few more fishing trips
