I first purchased a Swanndri lace up bush shirt in 1982 in Christchurch while on a tramping holiday. It was a regular piece of my 1980's Melbourne winter wardrobe until I unfortunately lost it. While on holiday again in 2017 I visited the new Swanndri shop in the Meridian Mall. I can see my new Mosgiel being an essential part of my Melbourne wardrobe through winter for many years to come.

The Swandri has turned out to be tough, durable, and waterproof enough for my five year old to play outside non-stop in the cold. It has the added advantage of a great length and being breathable. So much better than a plastic fantastic licensed rain jacket! I was pretty disappointed to see that its not made in New Zealand anymore and that postage to Australia was free if I bought from a different company. Fortunately neither of these things seems to worry my son.

I bought a size 8 for my 5 year old grandson who is tall for his age. It is a little on the large size but will last him next year at least and the over sizing is not a problem. The wool is not as soft as polar fleece but he was not bothered at all and is toasty warm in this cold weather

We bought a Wool Dog Coat for our JR Terrier for those cold days out on the farm. Good fit although the velcro straps are very long and dangle about abit. We will try and shorten them to make a better fit. Other than that it stays on well and she seems to enjoy being warm and dry. Would recommend to anyone considering the purchase.
