The material and performance of the vest I purchased are excellent. The style of the vest is such that I wouldn't wear it by itself but rather need to pull on a rash guard or some other outer layer. I think stepping up to the short sleeve is the way to go for every day use. This should work nicely under my wetsuit to help me stay insulated.

Used the phone skin on a recent trip to Fiji. Used it when we went snorkelling and cayaking. Took a bit to get used to it. Touch screen does not work under water so you need to set the video up before you go underwater. Phone kept dry thankfully! And I did not lose it either on a reef snorkel.

This is a pretty cool option for some cool underwater photos & videos if you dont want to buy more expensive equipment . I popped my old phone in rite away and rolled on down to the coast for a snorkel. Seal was perfect. Footage was clear and the buttons were easily accessible. I did have to keep holding the lanyard out of the camera lense, but thats a rookie error. I've used it many times since all positive. Wasn't convinced when I unpacked it first off that it was going to be any good, thinking it felt a bit iffy and also thought the images would be weird through the case ... but it worked perfectly and the images were great.

So I'm exchanging for a smaller size to make sure it's skin tight. However, if it really compares to 5mil warmth this is a game changer for packing. Much easier to pack, much easier to get on, and neutral buoyancy. This is definitely the futuristic best of the best in scuba gear.
