Quieter, smoother with less belt flutter. Particularly like the closer available roller positions. Not so happy with the belt shroud making easy belt on/off not so easy.

Really like this tool. For such a small format it really provides a quality sharpening performance. Feels well built and solid.

When I first started using this I was a little frustrated that I could not get my knives super sharp on the belt grinding attachment. However, after getting over the learning curve such as not applying too much pressure on the belt and only let the weight of the blade rest on the belt, I was getting knives so sharp I couldn't believe it! Cutting magazine paper with such ease even when shaprned at a wider angle! Wow, I'm so happy I purchased this and upgraded to the ken onion elite mk2 from the precision adjust.

Work Sharp Precision Adjust Elite Knife Sharpener
This is a really great kit for anybody looking for an all in one package and overall convenience. It works great on smaller blades but its designed well enough to tackle large kitchen knives and heavy choppers. The carrying case fits the unit and all its accessories perfectly with room to spare. The device is simple enough to figure out on your own, but includes detailed instructions to guide you through assembly and the sharpening process. The only reason I didnt give this unit five stars was because the clamping jaw, even when tightened down all the way, still allows larger blades to move. Also the base unit could use a weighted bottom or some type of suction device to hold it to the surface that you are working on. Overall I think this is a great purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a full range sharpening kit.

It was stiffer than I thought it would be and quite heavy. The reel seat is too low. It casts alright with heavy wieght.
