Perfect well made and good quality

Pros; very very good go to colour for snapper along with orange gurnard glow. Used in the Far Far north, Coromandel, and west coast . As a pretty much 99% of the time lure fisher for the last 15 years, this new generation of more buoyant and flexible yet durable soft baits, incl Bait Junkies are a genuine game changer in the same way that Gulp was 15 yrs ago and Zman was 10 years ago.
Cons; always use secret sauce! Also this particular brand of soft baits will slowly harden over time if left exposed to the air ie over a month or so. Nothing like the old Berkley Gulps but something to be aware of and not something i've experienced with zman or bait junkies etc.

The Shimano Backbone 8ft 2-Piece 24kg Rod & Penn Fathom 80 Electric Reel Package
I’ve been using this setup for drone fishing, for the last 2 months and honestly, it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. The 8ft, 2-piece, 24kg Shimano Backbone rod is incredibly sensitive and allows you to easily see even the slightest bites. It feels great in the hand and is super smooth to fish with.
The Penn Fathom 80 Electric Reel is very easy to operate. My preferred setup is to put it into override mode by holding the two red buttons, pressing the left button, adjusting the spool tension knob, and then pushing the lever down. Once that’s done, the drone can comfortably take your bait and traces out without any issues.
One of the standout features is the integrated battery and reel design. There are no external batteries, cords, or wires to get tangled up with. After an 8-hour fishing session off the beach, leaving the reel powered on the entire time and completing multiple 300–400 metre drops, the battery only dropped 2 bars out of 5.
The reel holds around 850 metres of 80lb braid, which is more than enough for my style of fishing. I’ve had absolutely no issues retrieving fish, and the reel has performed flawlessly every time.
I haven’t used the included Nacsan 6-Hook Drone Rig as I prefer to make my own rigs, so I can’t comment on its performance.
My only regret is not buying this package years ago. It’s a quality setup and well worth the investment for anyone serious about drone fishing.
A special thanks to Richard from Marine Deals, who was fantastic to deal with and answered all my questions promptly and professionally.
Pros:
• Easy-to-use electric reel

• Wish I had bought it sooner!
Overall Rating: 5/5 ⭐
If you’re on the fence about buying this package, stop overthinking it and just go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

Really good quality rig but sadly got snagged.
Personally they are bloody amazing rigs

Good quality and good deal

Best sand anchor I've ever had.
Only issue was the eye for anchor warp wasn't enter and only had one eighth of an inch metal on one side of hole. I cut off end and redrilled.
Not worth hassle of sending back.
Might pay to check your stock in warehouse for same fault.

Very good product Fixed crack in brass component of a gas califont

Just the ticket and great prompt service as per normal

Haven’t used it yet tides against me but looks great and should be great

Great fit, comfy and well-made.

Both rod and reel arrived promptly and in excellent condition. They have been tried out and performed very well, in less than ideal conditions. Cannot wait to try them out again.

Good product

Great price and has been a good setup so far. Recommend
