Great store and service, really impressed with the range of products and the staff product knowledge. Especially all that Okuma gear, so good to be able to see the range in store. The staff were happy to help me with my questions about the Savage Gear products and assured me that they were the best available. I also really enjoyed their knowledge and expertise in pointing me in the right direction for a new CD rod, beats the pants off any of the other brands according to the clued up sales person. Ordered a Shimano corvalus 400 - I needed it urgently so I had to go and pick it up. I was told that the item was ready however when I arrived it wasn't spooled so I had to wait.
I went fishing on a charter and I placed the fishing rod (with the reel on) in the rod holder. Due to the vibration part of the reel (which I guess had loose screws) fall down into the water. Total disaster! my fishing day was screwed. Went back to the store and told them the story, which was hard to believe for them, lucky I was on a charter and had witnesses. A week after I received a replacement :) whit loose screw again though - but I already tighten them myself. Customer service (on the phone) was always very good.

Ordered a GoPro Hero6 because it was on sale, paid with my credit card. Promptly received an order confirmation in my e-mail and my credit card was charged. However, I received no further communication and no product was shipped to me. After about a week I looked into my account to find out that they had cancelled the order, refunded it and credited the invoice, but I did not get the money back to my credit card. After a few calls with customer support it became clear that the transaction was flagged as fraudulent by their bank, that’s why the order was cancelled, although my bank says the transaction was not flagged. With regards to the refund, however, I was informed that they actually would not refund the money (something with “protocol”) and that I had to “contact my bank and have them start an investigation and issue a chargeback”. They were unable to explain to me why they work like this, even after I repeatedly asked them to explain it better than “protocol”. To me this seems like a weird, very unfriendly and unhelpful way to deal with customers.

Hi Vincent Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to inform that the transaction was flagged as "unauthorised" that's why it was cancelled. We've now refunded the order. The full amount should be transferred back to the same Master card used in the purchase.

My order was not delivered because my address was not put on the parcel! The person I talked to said they would have it reshipped. Today I rang again to be told it has been delivered. yes it has been delivered but back to Marine deals NOT ME! signed for by someone called j howrton according to courier post tracking. So where is the replacement order??? Not here with me! The phone staff have no idea what they are doing and the people who ship things obviously have no idea either. I think this is being run out of a zoo by monkeys. needless to say I will not be placing any more orders with this 'company'

Hi Marisa, we screwed up and on top of that the parcel was being returned back to us by CourierPost even though the CourierPost tracking system told us something quite different, so it took quite a lot of work to establish what actually was happening.
