Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience with Med School Insiders and my advisor Dr. Agarwal during my journey for studying for Step 1 and COMLEX 1. It’s has been an invaluable investment and I wish I had enlisted your help and guidance during my first two years of didactic learning in medical school.

After speaking and learning from me what has worked and not worked in my studying in the past, Dr. Agarwal set me up with a plan and schedule for studying. This in itself relieved anxiety associated with studying for the exam. An additional feature was the use of Anki cards in repeated recall and memorization. I had always thought the key was making one’s own Anki cards, however, Dr. Agarwal pointed out and ensured the efficiency of pre-made cards in learning large amounts of information in a small amount of time. I regret not receiving this one on one advisement in regards to studying during medical school.

Dr. Agarwal and I meet a few times thereafter to go over and review questions from the first NBME I took. Although I was still building knowledge, learning how to approach questions and how to be thinking about them was invaluable. With this I have been about to build foundational test-taking skills.

Both of my exams (one scheduled in April and the other at the beginning of May) were cancelled by Prometric as a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Agarwal advised me during this time of uncertainty until I was able to find available dates in August.

I will very much miss working with Dr. Agarwal. I wish her the best of luck in her training in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic.

I was impressed with the quick turn-around rate of this service! I had my comments back withint 24-28 hrs. However, I do wish that the editor had taken the 48 hrs to give more constructive feedback that addressed more of my issues. For example, I had asked for help in reducing the character count since my essay was 300+ words over the limit, however the essay was returned to me 500+ over the character limit and the editor telling me that I was under the limit and should add more words instead!!

I purchased the Silver comprehensive package for med school admissions, because it seemed like the best value, and I have no regrets! Admissions counselling may not be for everyone, but it gave me a lot more confidence in my final products and interview preparedness than I would have had otherwise. My mentor was Dr. Wu, and I very much enjoyed working with him. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and he communicated very clearly and promptly when I had questions or sent him essays to edit. He truly went above and beyond what I had expected. I applied to Texas schools only and received 7 II, 6 IA, and 1 acceptance (I think; could have also been accepted by lower ranked schools because of how the TMDSAS match works).

I am a fourth-year medical student who has been working with Dr Agarwal for the past five months. Her professionalism, enthusiasm, and competence have been evident from our first session. She has been consistently reliable in both her punctuality and her willingness to help me understand difficult concepts by patiently explaining them in several ways. Moreover, she has been incredibly helpful in helping me find the right study tools and has even given me suggestions about how to optimize my study schedule. With her help, I was able to pass my remaining five shelf exams in my third year. I would highly recommend her as a tutor to any of my classmates.

I highly recommend Dr. Liane Dallalzadeh as she perfected my AMCAS application. I had all the experience to make a good application but it came out much better than I could have imagined. Her experience as a student interviewer makes her invaluable as she knows all the do's and don'ts for the application. She went above and beyond what was requested of her.
