As an MD/PhD applicant with an unconventional route to becoming a physician-scientist, I was unsure how to best write my AMCAS application and essays to put my best foot forward. At first, I was hesitant about spending so much money on the Personal Statement-3 Edits package, but in the end, I’m glad I did. I was able to get another set of eyes on my essay, and all in a very timely manner too! Kevin and Omar responded to my emails right away, which really made me feel that they were giving my essay the attention it needed, instead of just working on it when they felt like doing so. I also really appreciated the comments that Omar gave me; they were quite constructive and often made me think in ways I hadn’t thought of before. If you put in the work, you’ll get a return. I know it may not be a feasible investment for everyone, but if you are able to, I’d recommend using this service!

Considering that many people spend months refining their personal statements, Dr. Jubbal and Med School Insiders were instrumental in speeding up this process by providing prompt and insightful edits of my drafts. Within two weeks, I was able to turn around a long-winded and somewhat vague first draft into a concise statement that spoke to how my experiences shaped me and my ambitions.
