I used to play violin and double bass in my younger days, but always wanted to have a go with the cello - lockdown seems a good a time as any! Certainly can't afford to buy one, but was hoping to find a reputable place to hire. There was a waiting list for the instrument, however I was notified as soon as it was available, and I ordered straight away. Took a few days, but it it arrived very well packaged. Cello was packed with the bridge flat (long time since I've had to put one up!) - but there are tutorials online for this. Got tuned up in no time and all good. Instrument's tone as expected, happy so far. Only niggle was the rosin (shocking - get your own!) but that's a consumable and down to preference I suppose, so no big deal. Really happy with it / would definitely recommend.

All round very good service. The only thing I think tat could be better is if the instrument came with an inventory of any noted pre-existing damage. Like when hiring a car. Although no serious damage was on my instrument I would feel better knowing that a particular scratch (etc.) was not me especially as I didn't thoroughly examine the instrument on recruiting it. Another minor point that would have been nice to include would have been to provide a sheet in the box outlining how often I am expected to clean there instrument. Otherwise excellent service and would definitely recommend Musical Instrument Hire Co.

I'm Really pleased with my flute and the service I received. Because the concierge was no longer receiving parcels in my apartment block due to corona, I used the live customer service chat to talk delivery options and the person told me they’d put a note about my delivery preferences so that it got to me ok.
