Notgrass History fit my ideals for what my children would be learning in history. Specifically, I was looking for a curriculum that would teach Civics from the Christian perspective to my 5th grader and 8th grader. The curriculum needed to be easy to read and understand. I am thrilled that both children can read the text, understand it, and work through the lesson independently. I appreciate a curriculum that integrates other subjects. After finding the Uncle Sam and You curriculum for my older two children, I looked into a curriculum for my 1st grader. The 50 States curriculum is perfect for our needs. My daughter loves learning about the different states and what makes each one special and unique. After nearly every lesson, she tells me that we should really try to go that state because it looks so interesting to her. The pictures in the books are so beautiful that we all enjoy just flipping through the books to look that them.
